If I do sign up for this, it would be for everyday expenses, now i travel less, so platinum not for me, also I order uber eats alot, so maybe gold?

Yes the gold because it includes supermarkets is powerful because not only can you buy groceries , but supermarkets sell gift cards too to almost any category

I apologize I benefit nothing from this other than helping someone who may be in need . To be clear I have no referrals to Hand out and as you can see the link I posted is a public link . And also to be clear if you were so suspicious why did you DM me ? I even bothered to respond . Geez! No wonder the world is turning into a shitty place

I've had a regular Platinum for years. Last week I just opened a Schwab Amex Platinum to take advantage of a Schwab Bank relationship $100 discount and a higher point redemption rate. That's a total of 2 platinum cards.

My plan was to try and get a retention offer to convert my regular platinum to a gold card next month. Now, I'm thinking maybe I should just apply for the gold and cancel the regular platinum.

That would leave me with 1 Schwab Platinum and 1 Gold.

Does Amex make retention offers to downgrade instead of cancelling?

Would love to churn another big bonus but I rarely take flights these days. Cash redemption rate doesn't make it worth it for me unfortunately.
