I got approved instantly this morning. My 3 credit scores are in the 825-830 range. My income is $120k/year and my only debt is a mortgage that's under $500/month, credit cards are paid in full each month. My credit limit on the approval is a laughable $3,000. The limit on my Double Cash card is $22,600, so I'm not sure what they're thinking. I called to try to get it raised, but they said my account wasn't fully setup yet and that I should call back in 3-4 days.
If your having trouble with finding ways to spend $4,000 within 3 months to get the bonus, just put your rent on the card. Since rents are so high in the US, you'll hit that $4,000 no problem.

I'm in a similar situation. My credit limit is $3,000 as well. Please let us informed if you succeed in getting the credit limit raised!
I got the card last month, paid for part of my new roof and paid the balance off, this month I got the 95.00 fee and all the points in my account. So now I wait till next year and down grade the card to whichever other is free and offer good points ?
Just pay it off early until you hit the $4k. So for example you hit $2k spend then pay it off which will leave you enough to hit $4k. If you have another CITI card then you can call and have them move available credit from one to another.

I personally wouldn't do this. Best bet is to overpay on recurring bills such as utilities or a phone bill. Could also ask friends/family if you could use your card for a payment and have them reimburse you in cash.
Not sure if there would be any repercussions if you were to load an Amazon account balance, as the fine print probably excludes gift cards and cash equivalents, though I'm sure some people have gotten away with it.
Nothing about gift cards being exclusions, unless you think gift cards = cash advances, because it's not.
"Balance transfers, cash advances, checks that access your card account, purchases returned/refunded for credit, unauthorized charges, interest and account fees, traveler's checks, foreign currency purchases, money orders, wire transfers (and similar cash-like transactions), lottery tickets, gaming chips (and similar betting transactions) are not purchases and do not count towards earning your bonus."
I got the same card and bonus more than 2 years ago, had a tough time using points, settled with GC purchases, and then downgraded the card to Double Cash Back, which is still active. Can someone explain the process of getting $800 redemption rather than Gift Cards?
Also, does anyone know, what Credit Card Bureau Citi pulls credit from nowadays?
Citi recently changed all their cards (including double cash) to use thank you points. To redeem them for cash, you go into your account and click the option for redeeming for cash. There's nothing special to do.
Correct. You should be okay to apply for the Premier even if you have any of those other credit cards currently open. Closing them at this point would make you ineligible.
Hi, quick question. Did you know there is any expiration date for this offer? I may have to wait for one more month then apply. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
