One thing to note with this offer is that you can claim the 80,000 points with this and then downgrade the card to a Double Cash in a year. Effectively giving the Double Cash a 800$ sub
·
1) Meet spending requirement on Citi Premier card
2) Earn 80,000 point sign up bonus
3) Downgrade Premier to Double Cash or Custom Cash before you're charged with another annual fee
4) Points balance should carry over from Premier to your downgrade card

Got approved with 5500 credit. Good enough for me. Once 800 points these will be downgraded or cancel. I have no interest in keeping this card.

Did you already have a Citi account before this card? New Citi customers look like they need to wait for the card to arrive and use the full card number and CVV to verify their account online before they have the opportunity to obtain a virtual card.

Got the card last week, just charged $4500 for 3 new Iphones at Apple store. Well, was easy LOL. One more card down, i need to find another CC to apply... so far this year I did the Amex platinum 150K bonus, Capital One venture 75K and this Citi 80K

Quick question. If I used this card to pay for tuition fees (masters), is that considered a purchase? Or, to get $800, do I have to use it only in retail areas? Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone able to use manufactured spending like through venmo with this card? I think it's only a 3% fee. I don't think I'll meet the full minimum spending requirement
