One thing to note with this offer is that you can claim the 80,000 points with this and then downgrade the card to a Double Cash in a year. Effectively giving the Double Cash a 800$ sub

1) Meet spending requirement on Citi Premier card

3) Downgrade Premier to Double Cash or Custom Cash before you're charged with another annual fee

Quick question any idea if Costco would qualify as supermarket spend. Looking to use this instead of the Costco card given similar categories

Anyone know if you are able to use this card right away via digital card / number after approval if you don't already have an account with Citi? I was approved last week but kinda wish I could use the card for purchases sooner rather than waiting for the card to come in the mail lol

Elaborate please.. as in earn 80k points and then when you downgrade to double Cashback card and pay the balance you get another 800$ so total $1600?

No. Since there is no sign-on bonus for the Double Cash card, he is saying that the $800 for the Premier is like getting one for the Double Cash after the downgrade.

Was approved last Sunday. Virtual card numbers, Google pay, and linking to Amazon was available the next day. Have been using it all week. Card should be showing up in a day or so.

How did you get your credit card information so you can register your account? Only thing I got after approval is an email saying the card is in its way. Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you there. I already have another citi card so my account was already set up. During the whole process I never received a full card number until I got my card today.

If you already have a citi account (other citi card, checking, etc) you can see the card info in your account and get a virtual card number through the site. If you do not already have a citi account, nothing you can do

Not sure when u got approved but it does take a day or two to show up in your account. There were no steps required to add the account for me.
