2) Earn 80,000 point sign up bonus
3) Downgrade Premier to Double Cash or Custom Cash before you're charged with another annual fee

Can someone explain to me what's some things I can be spending on to hit my 4k in 3 months mark? Groceries and Gas but what else?
You could buy auto insurance for 6 or 12 months in advance, pay for utilities in advance. Most utilities let you pay more than the monthly bill. Car repairs or services etc. You could also pay rent with credit card if you rent apartment but there be heavy charges. Definitely won't recommend it but that's last resort in 3rd month if you couldn't meet the spend req.
But, I would never ever spend on unwanted purchases JUST because I am getting a bonus.
I got approved instantly this morning. My 3 credit scores are in the 825-830 range. My income is $120k/year and my only debt is a mortgage that's under $500/month, credit cards are paid in full each month. My credit limit on the approval is a laughable $3,000. The limit on my Double Cash card is $22,600, so I'm not sure what they're thinking. I called to try to get it raised, but they said my account wasn't fully setup yet and that I should call back in 3-4 days.
I posted this message on August 18th. Since then, I've gone through the online credit limit increase request process several times and kept getting denied for an increase, I think because the account was not open for very long. I just tried again this afternoon and my request was approved and the limit was increased from $3k to $6k. My income increased slightly to $125k, and my mortgage is still the same(less than $500), so I think it was time more than a change in circumstance that allowed them to approve the CLI this time.
I don't really "need" $6k as I pay off my cards each month, but $3k is tight if I were to make a large purchase. I also try to keep my utilization percentage low, so this will help in that regard.

I purchase a TV and an A\V receiver in the first week. The purchase was made on Nov 19 and received the points yesterday Dec 8.
FYI $95 was added to first month's bill, the yearly fee.

Finally received the card after 10 days.. I activated it.. but it's still not showing up in mobile app or web.. I am existing Costco Citi card holder. Anything I need to do get the online thing working?
I know you are not supposed to receive 1099 for credit card bonus since it's considered as rebates, but I do hear occasionally some people receive it when it's over $600. anyone else had this experience or heard of this?
Just wanted to add to this thread - I can confirm that I am eligible for the bonus despite getting the Custom Cash bonus 6 months ago
Flowchart: get Premier card -> spend 4k to get 80,000 points -> after 1 year, downgrade to another citi card (custom cash / Double cash). Nothing really complicated here.
So I have to pay annual fee at least once?
Is there a way I can redeem points and avoid paying any annual fee ?

I literally just closed this card after having it for a year. I redeemed my points then did a chat with them online. It was so easy to cancel. As long as you cancel within 37 days of the annual fee posting, they will remove the fee.
