The 100ft roll on Amazon and Walmart is NOT pressure compensating. See reviews and I just tested that myself:

I just finished a massive 16x4 raised bed where I installed ~100ft of those irrigation hoses and I ordered 2x of the Copper Shield and 1x the 100ft roll that's on sale here. The Copper shields would pressure compensate when connected to the Rain Bird Faucet connector and get the 0.9gph out. The 100ft roll would just push out a lot of water on the first few holes and then less on the ends - definitely not pressure compensating. So keep that in mind!

It's cheaper according to the 3 C's, but this has never sold anywhere near whatever the ridiculous MSRP listed for it is. Seems to be about 20% off the usual price.

So I bought this out of curiosity and I don't think it's actually 1/2". I think their 1/4" drip irrigation stuff is the same way. These aren't big enough to fit onto Irritec Permaloc 1/2" adapters, I'm guessing its meant to be used with one-time-use barbed adapters. The drip tubing sold on DripDepot and GrowIrrigation is thicker and actually 1/2".

Is this pressure compensating? https://jainsusa.com/store/total-cv-emitterline/
Yes. It also features c/v's.

What is CV? Any quality difference between the Rainbird tubing and the one I sent on the link above. The above link has tubing made in USA and that was my only reason to buy that versus the Rainbird one. Any thoughts?

A c/v is a check valve. The rainbird ET series is non-c/v design. While the Total CV series tubing may be virgin plastic made in USA, I doubt the emitters are. My thought is the Total CV line is a far better product than the Rainbird ET series.
Unless you're suspending the line above grade, I will always suggest some root inhibiting feature. The SSF70-50S is one such product made by Rainbird. There are others with additional features, such as self-flushing emitters. However, that is for you to research, as there are many esoteric designs and features from many manufacturers.

Also, don't get stuck with the "Made in the USA" ideology. There are many foreign manufacturers that make superior products, and they don't manufacture using "slave" labor. I digress. I'm beating a dead horse to some.

Yes, but if you plan to bury it you need the copper shield one.

It's not just for burial. If it sits on grade, roots will find the emitter and enter. It's only a matter of time.

More specifically, only square wave DC. Also known as pulse or vibrating.
