I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

There will be some taxes tacked on when you check out. Not bad... like 30ish bucks I think it was for me. I don't remember exactly, but it's in that neighborhood.

I moved from visible wireless to this deal. Just my experience that in congested areas visible wireless is de-prioritized and becomes very slow. ATT prepaid is much better in that aspect.

I've been using this $300/yr deal for 3 years and I'm very happy with it. I was paying sprint $90 and when I went to renew they tried increasing it over $100/mo. Fed up I tried Mint Mobile, it wasn't great and I canceled - even the cancelation process was a PITA. Then I tried AT&T and I recommend it to anyone who asks.

Could someone compare the signal/speed between Post & Prepaid AT&T? I'm will TMO, and not happy with my signal at all.

Never said it's equivalent. But deprioritized or not, I'd still rather unlimited than having to be concerned about running out.
Am on the fence
to help, can any of you post your up/down speed on this deal's SIM

Mines 54 down and 2 up. I don't have any issues. I'm in Winchester, Va and the closer I get to DC the faster it gets.

what are your up/down speeds ?
Won't matter unless you live around me and even then it'll vary a lot depending on congestion

Today
1150am inside apt Chicago suburb 15mb/4mb ping 30ms
440pm Niles IL 60714 outside (golf mill) 75mb/15mb ping 20ms
530pm NW Chicago 60631 outside (norwood park) 40mb/6mb ping 24ms

Why would you switch from unlimited on Verizon's network to data capped on AT&T's? Not trying to criticize. I'm genuinely curious
Visible speeds are horrendous. It was basically unusable for me, and it's not like Verizon, because Verizon works great around here. I ran speed tests before and after switching from same location. Visible got like 2mbps and ping of 200 something. At&t is solid 40mbps plus and ping in 20ms.

Is this plan QCI 8 or 9 ?

Also here is my situation. I need a plan with higher priority. I don't need a crazy amount of data, like this plans 16GB would be fine. I need maybe 10.

My issue is not the amount of data, its that I struggle to pull any. I believe I am constantly de prioritized. I am in a rapidly growing area (suburb of columbus oh) and so I believe overcrowding to be the issue.

Because otherwise I have tried everything. I tried getting a new 5G phone (a pixel) hoping 5G would help, it did not. I have tried numerous providers over the last couple years.

I have been on postpaid tmobile, countless MVNOs (visible, cricket, boost, mint) and prepaid verizon. They all produce shitty results for me.

So my issue is is the only way to get priority to be on like some $85 a month unlimited plan or is there anything else out there that gives higher priority for a reasonable price ? Again because I don't really need THAT much data, I just want it to be usable. .My issue is data goes like in and out. Things will be fine and then next thing you know not even twitter will load. I have reception/bars, calls don't go out. Its just data.

Fair. I've got Verizon unlimited for 30 a month and I easily hit over 50gb monthly with no issues or noticeable slowdowns. Have no need to switch to Visible but I know on paper it's the best bang for your buck plan you could get.
Verizon MVNO are horrendous if you live in a big city. To the point the data is unusable and I felt like I was on 2g speed. I couldn't access even google maps or a simple google search without waiting 30+ seconds.

ATT is legit in comparison

Sure visible may be uncapped but you have a hard cap from deprioritization. 16gb is more than enough if you reduce data usage in apps and limit video streaming to over Wifi.

thank you so much. For comparison sake, how would it compare to their other pre paid plans, like the 5GB/$30 plan ? Is that one also an 8 or a 9?

That makes sense. Only red flag with this is they're probably going to change the deal after a year and then you're screwed looking for something else
Not really. Worst case they change it to 8gb and remove the bonus deal. That's still a great price for a single line.

Verizon mvno are trash and its even a simple place like target where you notice slowdowns. You can go anywhere in a big city and because of all the shopping centers around you can notice problems

All att is QCI 8 except for one of the priority plans which is qci 7 and some business plans which are qci 6. The speed is good.

ATT is good

This is one of the best deals in a long time.

If I wanted to move three lines to this plan, would it need to be 3 separate plans, or will it allow me to set them all under one account if I use the same billing info for each one? Anyone who's moved over a family plan to this have experience?

FYI- my experience after a week on ATT. In San Diego,CA previous Visible user ($25 -plan). I get 4 bars, 5Ge pretty much everywhere (from east valley - SDSU , La Jolla (N) to Downtown (Petco Park-baseball game) to south (TJ). Speeds are faster, high 40/15, to lower 5/5, but always useable where Visible was unusable in downtown (couldn't check anything).
Can also confirm works great in Mexico, Tijuana, including data/text (Waze/yelp). My data shows 8gb + 8 promo. I did have issues with porting, but I have a different # than temp #/area (but service rep figured it out after 15 min call). So far has been much better than Visible for same price, wish I changed earlier (even for just 8GB plan).

I was on pageplus which is also verizon mvno and this is leagues better. I will say data was unusable even at simple places like shopping centers, target, etc. when they are barely full.

I ported two existing phone numbers from Consumer cellular to AT&T. It required two separate calls each lasting roughly 30 minutes each. I got the Sim for the numbers I was porting, not a temp number as some of the others did. The issue seemed to be that when the att prepaid Sim is popped in, there wasn't a way to add the 360 day/16 GB plan to the Sim even though that was how I ordered while getting the service. The att reps were able to get this issue fixed after a brief hold.
