I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

AT&T says it's $25 charge to change your number. That should be included in the list of instructions. Followed the instructions to get deal and now have a less slick deal cause of the $25 fee that I have to pay to not loose my number.
if you follow the wiki you would know to call att porting number not 611

there is no 25 charge that's for a new number and you will lose

Where are you seeing the 20gb offer?
The only 20gb offer I see is for tablet data, which doesn't include talk and text. It's 20gb of data per month for 12 months at $25/month, so $300 total.

you do NOT have to wait 30 days

just make sure you call the 1888 port number and not 611 for porting

611 is charging 25 dollars and messing things up

I ported out of ATT prepaid to Tracfone (Verizon SIM) and then back to ATT prepaid 1 day later.

Hello,

Where can you find the account number/PIN for Tracfone? Can I obtain that online once I port it over from AT&T Prepaid?

Thank you!

I ported from ATT Prepaid to T Mobile Prepaid for a day... iPhone 12 - esim. Was problematic on T-Mobile, didn't get text messages, couldn't send or receive, intermittently. Also once I ported back to AT&T I had to delete the esim settings from the phone before the AT&T number would work again, even though the port was complete.

I was on the AT&T Prepaid 12 Month 8GB Plan, which was set to expire on Oct 14, so I ported to T-Mobile on Oct 13. Decided to use T-Mobile for a few days just to try out the service but ran out of data, so I just ported back to new promo 16GB Plan. Not sure if it's just a glitch, but the 12 month plan isn't supposed to give 5G access, so my iPhone always said 5GE, but now that I'm up and running on the new plan, I'm seeing 5G.

I spent over 9 hours of phone time in a total of 24 calls to support to accomplish a seemingly uncomplicated port-in for a new prepaid at&t account. In a process, my new account had been deleted twice, and I had to pay again every time to re-establish the line, and spend more time to get the refunds. The refunds ultimately never posted. At&t customer care is outrageously bad -- an outsourced call center with a bunch of incompetent and aggressive clowns who transfer you around, often hang up mid call, and do random things to the account. I wish there was another choice of a carrier, but at&t is the only one working well where I live.

Quick question: did you try to do the port and the purchase of the sim in one step?

I hope not… cause at the root at most of these issues is when you tick off the box that you will be bringing a phone number with you.

always always request a new number with the same zip code as the number you will be porting in

and then call into 1-888 port activations to port old onto new

always always in 2 steps an intermediary step is needed to port old number to tmobile in between above 2 steps should you be currently with att att prepaid or cricker

5Ge is LTE

should not have 5G proper on this plan

kinda makes sense if you think about it you cannot have 2 esim settings for the same number…

Yes, so why is my iPhone not showing 5GE anymore after switching to the 16GB plan? Maybe it's just a glitch and will switch back to 5GE after a reboot or when associating with a different tower.
