Yeah but cheap quality the wheels will fall apart after a couple of use
Probably will be $199 soon
Have a 24" that has lasted me ~5 years rolling it around NYC. One wheel is definitely starting to stick a bit, but other than that, it's been a total champ. No idea what makes you think they're gonna have this set for $199 soon though. This is the first reasonable price decrease in months. Aside from December 2021, it hasn't gone back to that pre-COVID sale price.

I have had this model for one year: Samsonite Winfield 2 Hardside Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Deep Blue, 3-Piece Set (20/24/28) https://a.co/d/bQylbZQ
It's pretty great except the sides scratch up pretty easily, this model looks like it might scratch less which would make it even nicer.
Picked up the 28" of the Winfield model for the family back in 2017. Just had to retire mine when the body of it cracked on a domestic flight. I think the plastic on Omni model is superior to the Winfield. And the rougher exterior hasn't scratched as badly. It scratches other things.
You're comparing apples to oranges. Why would you compare a soft shell to a hard shell?
cause, they will do the same job of carrying luggage for me on an international flight which is my purpose and for that purpose the weight is pretty important
Been using these for about 4 years since we spotted them on here for a mix of car (4 or 5 weekend getaways to visit friends or go on small vacations) and air travel (probably 15 round trip flights total between my wife and I). Have the small and medium size and love them, no issues.
Repped 1 before it gets sold out. Shortage on luggage due to summer travel. Went to Costco today to get 2 bag set but no bags available in Bay Area. Not on Costco.com as well. Asked store manager, they mentioned nothing on the way for store inventory. So get it if you need it and take 30 days to decide until can do free returns. Thanks OP!!

So it weighs the same as your softshell but it will protect your stuff better. Seems like a good deal. I found this
20" - 6.8 lbs
24" - 8.3 lbs
28" - 10.35 lbs

For other people who didn't know, if you notice that the airline damaged your bag during travel, you can file a claim for which they will often compensate you [thepointsguy.com]. Wish I'd known this at the time. All I got was a $75 United TravelBank credit.
Though, does look to be the flexible hard shell material in the pictures... (though the flexible hard shell is ABS)
