Supposedly this one uses hot air to dry it. But if you ask me all of these older model Hoovers (with spin scrub brushes vs the dual scrubs that just perform better…so much so that Hoover has even switched to it in its newest cleaners) are effectively the exact same with minor differences in attachments.

I can tell you that I bought these exclusively for many years but recently got the new dual brushes and it's night and day better. And much easier to keep the machine clean. Those spin scrubs are terrible to clean—especially if you have pets.

How does this compare to "Hoover TurboScrub" from Direct Tools Outlet?

Which ones are the dual brush? Hoover Smart Wash Pet Carpet Cleaner Machine FH53010 for $148
Yes the Smart Wash are the dual brush versions. Bissell are also but those are garbage in my experience. Cheap parts, they always leak and fall apart within months.

I bought a carpet cleaner yesterday after watching all the YT reviews and reading everything I could find comparing all of the current models. Finally decided to pull a trigger on the Bissell ProHeat Revolution 2X Pet Pro from Kohls, with a 25% off coupon and $5 kohls cash I had I was able to get it for $205. Obviously double the cost of this one, but I've had cheap carpet cleaners before and didn't want to be frustrated by another cheap machine that pissed me off. Used it yesterday and it amazingly removed all evidence of my dog's butt puddles.

Sorry so late to respond but yes, that new Pet Plus one is killer. I got mine at direct tools also but for $109. Worth 10x that. As someone with kids and pets whose had carpet cleaners for years—I was actually shocked at how well that thing cleaned.
Thanks!

No brainer to get the DTO one for 40 bucks. Get 2 of those if you want. These things are disposable items, use it for 10 years and dump them. Motor, seals and brushes wear out, so there is no point getting parts if you can get a new unit for 40 bucks.

The same model (in name, different #) is on sale at DTO for $80 if you have a store near you as it's in-store pickup only. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ct/FH50251

Bissel proheat is $200 now at Costco and Sam's Club right now if you are a member:

I am thinking of going for the costco one since they have such an amazing return policy.

How is this with rugs? We have hardwood floors but with two large dogs our rugs get dirty quick. We have 5 rugs (between 5x7 to 9x12). Would this be suitable or is there something better for rugs? If it does work with rugs, is it overkill? Is there something in between this an a spot cleaner? We have the little green spot cleaner which works great but it just that, a spot cleaner.

I bought this one for the same reason. I watched vacuum wars YT where he prefers rotating brushes over dual brush systems in Bissel.

Just returned mine. Tried using the nozzle to clean carpets and half the time it wouldn't work. Seemed like the water jammed from the source. Advise against purchasing.

Seems like you need the Bissell Crosswave Premier which was just on sale at Costco for $50 off. https://www.costco.com/bissell-cr...58567.html

I ended up buying the fh54050 because of this comment, $59 + $12 shipping, and supposedly a blemished model….I don't see anything wrong with it. A true slickdeals moment: thanks for the info you provided, I just used it for the first time & it cleans well & the cleanup is the easiest!

Is this better https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ct/FH54050 [directtoolsoutlet.com] for $59.99?
When I clicked on the linked it's showing 67.50 + 14.99 S/H. I did found a review on youtube [youtube.com]and seem promising. I rented a Rug Carpet cleaner from Walmart over the weekend for 29.99 and it added more stain on my carpet. Ugh.
