Same here. And with the new iPadOS, it will have a bunch of new features to finally utilize the M1 chip!
I don't really see any scenario where I'd actually need 256GB+ for my use case. Once I get closer to full I will likely just delete photos/videos (they are already offloaded on both iCloud and an external drive) so no reason to keep the majority of them on my device.
The trade-off is something like $150.00 savings. I think AAFES and BJs have both had the 256GB model for $999.00. Personally I'd rather keep the $150 in my pocket and use it for something else, but perhaps those will come down even lower in the future.
