I don't worry about Costco "supposedly" honoring the 8 year battery warranty. I've dealt with them for 20+ years, back when they were the "Price Club". Costco is one of the best retailers in the country. I have 7 GW 80V lawn tools, and have had to replace 3 batteries. I filled out the contact/service form and after providing the requested info, (date of purchase, serial numbers, sales receipts, etc) the batteries were replaced at no charge. I have found the tools themselves to be of reasonable quality (not "JUNK"). Probably not suited for a pro yardman using them 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. That's why a Toro commercial 21" SP mower sells for $1600+.
You seem very bitter, try using the contact form on the website, good luck to you.

My lawn is just under 4,000 sq ft and doesn't really need the self propelled feature (but I use it here and there). I was able to get 4 mows out of the dual batteries on 1 charge.
New to costco - Is it usually like this?

I have batteries in the Hart 40v ecosystem. Would the higher power be beneficial for 3/4 acre lawn that is relatively flat? Is 80v more for taller/thicker grass?

Look at the mower and the ecosystem (I'm not impressed with the blowers they offer, but the Costco one is 730cfm/170mph). What Hart equipment do you have & what/why do you want to replace it. How will a different battery ecosystem change that (The mower only should be relatively easy).
My biggest complaint about my current GW mower is the lack of headlights (Mowing at dusk is a big attraction).

I have a backpack blower and string trimmer. I don't have an electric mower and contemplating if electric is good for my multiple yards that I mow (I help mow my families 3 different properties). The gas mower that we have is ok, but it gets heavy after mowing the first yard and in 90+ heat and humidity.
I already have a 4ah and 5ah 40v Hart battery and there is a Hart mower for $500 with 2 6ah battery or $350 for 1 6ah battery which would also suffice.

One important tip about the self-propelled mechanism (which is great BTW). But one "trick" is that if you are going to need to back up, as in a dead-end, you have to release the drive bar and allow the mower to move a few inches forward without the drive engaged. Then you can pull back easily. If you keep the drive engaged until you are at a stop, it will lock the rear wheels (they are still connected to the drive gear) and it will be hard to pull back, most likely dragging the rear wheels over the ground.
At first I thought there was something wrong with it until I figured out that that is the way these work. I also have a Kobalt 80V from a few years ago (at the time this was clearly also a Greenworks product but the color and battery keying are different.) So that's where I learned this, and on my Greenworks when I got it, oh yeah! Same thing.
I'd still say I love this mower system and I highly recommend it.
