Got this text message an hour ago. looks like they are making changes to their 5 for 100 plan. time to shop for new plans now.


Cricket Free Msg: Starting [July 20], your rate plan price will change. The average price per line on your account will be $26.00/mo. instead of $20.00/mo. Visit a Cricket store or https://www.cricketwireless.com/RatePlans to learn about other Cricket rate plans that may offer a better value for you. If you stay on your current plan, the monthly price for line 4 will be $20 instead of $10 and line 5 will be $20 instead of $0.

Well, my bill was due on 7/6 and today on 7/7 I got the notification about the increase in price. I would like to port out one of the phone lines and change the plan. Anybody know how to do this?

Update, finally got the dreaded text w/the update. It was a good run for as long as we had it, which was a good number of years! I will need to move to the 5/125 unlimited.
I guess I should wait until just before 8/7 when the rate change would take effect then?

I went on ATT's site and saw that 5 lines at 5gb is still 90, which sounds pretty good to me. But I could potentially put 9 lines together which would be a better deal than cricket ever gave me!

I believe that is the price PRE taxes and fees. Cricket bundles them, so it's the bottom line. Pretty much all the other's don't.

Slightly off topic questions. I will switch to 5/125. Does that mean I get free texting to 37 countries and phone/data while in Canada?

I have not done this in over a year but correct me if I am wrong. If all payment is done with AT&T prepaid cards after the initial 'signup' (which is the only time pre-paid cards are DIFFICULT but not impossible to use), there is no tax added.

these are the cards you buy at Target or Kroger when on sale and some states add sales tax and some don't (very repetitious threads on this).

just schedule the changes for your next bill cycle now that way you wont have any issues.

Visible is terrible. I want to switch to another carrier. Calls don't always go through. Try to call sometimes and hangs up right away. Have to reboot the phone. 5G is a joke. Uses Verizon's network, but at the cost of costantly being slowed down. I have the s22 ultra unlocked. I don't believe it's the phone.

I have the 5 lines and will be changing plans, I guess the cricket core will be $125 but how much is the cricket more (Unlimited plus mobile hotspot) for 5 lines?
