Great price but so not recommended because of the app that controls it. The latest update made this robot basically useless. Just read the reviews for the ihome clean app on whatever app store you use.

Unfortunately, I'm losing a lot of faith with iHome products. Just recently, iHome turned off the smart home functionality for all their smart plugs making them useless. It worked well for the past 4 years but now it's simply paper weights.

Huh, the latest update has been fantastic both ours. I will say that I did have to reset and re-add one of them to the app, but it picked up right where it left of with settings, map, and no-go zones.

Have this exact one cleaning as we speak. Highly recommend.

The app update has made it much better and more user friendly, though I did need to reset zones.

Only downside is no Alexa/Google integration to easily say "Alexa, clean the family room." That being said, I just setup different areas on schedules or use the iHome app.

In for 1, thanks OP

update: vacuums and mops great. navigation is pretty good especially for this price point. it looks like they have done alot of updates from the original. Not sure why all the hate from the mopping unless the bad reviews and complaints are from people with the old original models. It doesn't follow the vacuuming nav when mopping. it actually makes an area and then goes back and forth and goes in circles to scrub the area. it did not leave any puddles, I had it on level 3 for water used. it did a good job vacuuming the carpet. I'm enjoying the app too, more functions than my last one. you can also use maps from other floors from history. This thing is really great. if you watch older youtube videos where people had issues with connection, vacuuming, and mopping you can see the box changed, they added a door in the bin which makes an real difference, and the pads changed which I'm sure helps with the mopping and water distribution. I'm really impressed and really happy that the mopping works so well.

last time i tried this, it had some issues with mopping and mapping. in particular, for mopping, you can't just leave water/liquid inside the vacuum as it continues to leak water to the ground even when it is being charged.

in the end, though, for this price with self emptying capability, i am in (again).

But I am more worried about the brushes and filters, particularly the side brush as it tends to bend bristles very easily over time. I haven't been able to locate those. The same issue with Wyze.
All the accessories can be purchased directly from the ihomeclean website, also can be found on the phone app, if you click on profile there is a store option there as well.

Linked you directly to the accessories, its for the 6 series but its identical to the 5 series as I dont see a 5series option on there.

Yeah thats kind of a guessing game, I play with the water adjustments and just set it to max, it empties out the full water tray when it finished the 200sq ft area it cleans daily. When I had it set to the 3/4th setting it would still have a little left.

Guess ought not update. We absolutely love this unit on our mapped 1st floor. I'm about to replace a Wyze upstairs with shark IQ costco clearance & put wyze in the L/R step down. Auto disposal is really a game changer.

What have you been smoking??? The latest app update works great. Can setup virtual walls just about anywhere, spot clean, control the maintenance bin, suction and water level, along with direct control if you dont want to use the remote control that came with the unit.

Whatever you are referencing is not a iHome Nova product and others below look to agree with me.

Robot is amazing, my only issue is occasionally it does not find its way back home, but I think I caused my own problem by putting a do not go zone so close to the base that it was interfering with the robot guidance.
Good to know! Wife set up the areas & just realized (ecstatic) mops too 'laugh out loud

Yeah the app warns you when your too close so I just shrunk it a little bit for the app to accept it but the robot started having problems since I did that. The second I moved the base over a bit and shrunk that no go zone even more, its been working properly again.

The no go zone is a carpet rug, which I set to NOT mop, lol. So it still goes on it to vacuum it but wont mop it. Which adds to the confusion for the robot I am guessing.

This or the wyze robot vacuum?
I just got the Wyze, and it's great.
The dust collection bin at the charging station here seems like a great idea though. And I also wish the Wyze had Google Assistant voice control. Currently only supports Alexa.

how good is the mopping function on lvp? does it automatically know to mop on lvp versus vaccum on carpet?

It's a proscenic m8 clone, find parts for that and they'll fit this. You can also get a set of replacement brush and side brushes right from Walmarts site.

What exactly are you talking so negatively about? I have this and it works great.

Why did you return if it sucks everything on its way? That sounds like a great vacuum

Zero awareness regarding its surrounding. The water moo feature is useless. If you have anything on the floor, it will go over it. The app seven months ago, when I tried, was less than desirable.
