Can't wait, have been needing a Stargate fix ever since SG Atlantis went off the air. Bounce

Farewell SGU. At first we found you annoying and depressing. Yet you managed to grow on those fans who stuck with it and got to like you. Sadbye
Agreed, I do think the last 10 episodes were great (the 2 part alternate timeline descendant episode being the best)

Even though these were produced before the series was canceled, I felt like the writers knew that it probably wouldn't be picked up for another season and gave us some closure. At the end we see Destiny's lights shutoff deck by deck and watch Eli stare off into the aurora of lights. A fitting end Embarrassment

Dontknow What? It's fitting to end it with the thread it started with.

The title did say 'Stargate Universe starts tomorrow' before I bumped it.
Must have been a rather poor show considering it wasn't discussed in almost a year and a half. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Oh, so it ended? I wonder what they're going to do next, if anything...

I watched the first few episodes, but it felt so completely opposite of SG-1, and whatever I saw of Atlantis. I missed the humor and the lightheartedness - it just felt like a Sci-Fi drama. I was so sad to see my favorite show replaced by this. Sadwalk

I really wonder what is next in their plans. Scratchchin
Who knows. FWIW, a lot of bloggers and TV reviews think this may be the end of the Stargate franchise. It's such a popular and profitable (excepting SGU) franchise I hope they will bring back something that is more along the lines of SG-1 and SG-Atlantis.

I agree, this season was better and the alternate timeline descendant episodes were the best of both seasons.

Yeah, I miss Stargate so much, but I just couldn't get into the new show. I would hate for this to be the end. I would say that it just wouldn't be the same still without the actors from the first two shows (SG-1 and Atlantis), but I think they did a good job creating a new show with mostly new actors when they did Atlantis. So I think they could do it with a new crew, it just seemed like the dropped the whole feel of what I'm used to with Stargate in SG-U. They would need to bring back some old elements (in my opinion).

I think at Dragon*Con they had an SGU - but it was Stargate University. Big Grin Going to the panels was awesome. The actors are great. My boyfriend and a friend of mine have only watched a few episodes of SG-1, but they loved the panels almost as much as I did. Stargate always has a great goup of people doing the shows.

I also think that StarGate Universe sucked. Would have been much better without the stones (totally unbelieveable) and unnecessary drama, and more interaction with people and places outside the ship. More Mcguyver would have helped as well.

Oh hey, I was curious - did they ever revisit the whole Furlings thing in Stargate Universe or Atlantis? Down I would be so sad if they never explained anything more about them.

I had really hoped that the whole Stargate Universe thing would lead the group some place where they would at least find out what happened to the Furlings.

I'm still working through Season 1 of [b]Stargate SG-1[/b[ on This! TV. I figure I have a few more seasons before I have seen them all. Having said that, there are tons of deleted scenes on YouTube. I'm going through all the stuff from the "200" episode, and watching things like the commercials for it and McGyver talking about how they are all big fans of Team America: World Police

Weapons are at maximum!

Happy I remember those! I hadn't seen the McKay or the Teal'c commercials, though.

I was just telling my boyfriend today about how Siler and someone else (a writer?) are sometimes hidden around the background holding an enormous wrench. And also how they like to hide a pineapple somewhere on set.

I wonder how long the wrench and pineapple thing went on... I noticed it in some episodes, but I don't remember if it went on in the "newer" episodes.... Scratchhead
