WM is really bad with storing bulbs and bare root plants. These are likely dead already. Though to be honest I got some great gladiolus from Sams Club earlier this year. But WM stuff has always been dehydrated and never come up.

If you want to take a risk, you can probably plant these just fine now. It's just that they won't have time to bloom. But they should grow roots and blades and store up energy for next year.

These are low maintenance in the Piedmont Triad NC area. Ours have come back year after year without winter storage.

They do like trellises though. They flop over without support.

Zone 5a here in Chicagoland, guess these aren't for me!
I have them here in Michigan and they've been blooming every year. I don't dig them up and they keep coming back. My only problem is that they are so top heavy. I have to run a string along the tops to keep them from falling over. They are very pretty though!

In for 1. Walmart does offer a 1 year warranty on their bulbs and trees. Worst comes to worst I'll just return them next year.

LOL. I bought dollar25 store bulbs. Only 5 per pack. Very small.
Blades come first year.
Nice blooms there after year after year.
They have lots of Babies.
Nice tall colorful flowers.
They need lots of water.
All in Heat Bowl Houston TX.
Mine are just blooming in Austin. Do I need to dig them up in the winter?

Walmart plant bulbs are horrific. These will more than likely not even be alive let along survive till next year.

I trust dollar tree bulbs before Walmart as those always seem to sprout well.

30/38 produced very strong blades already. I have more than 8 weeks left before frost so I should see some flowers this year.
