Just for anyone who's interested. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/nano80-2020

I'll edit this to say that while this review is for the year before this one, LG's mid and low tier TVs do not get substantial upgrades from one year to the next. They may fix some little things with this one, but there's no way that they've made enough improvements to bring the score up any higher.
Wow that tv sucks
Got it sometime last month on a sale. I regret it now. Very poor screen.

Glad to see the TV deals starting for the 4th.... Does BB price match Beach Camera via Walmart or is it a YMMV?

that's a 2020 model, this is 2021

It's not going to vary that much. These are not LG's high-end TVs. They don't get huge upgrades each year. This TV is still gonna suck. LG's only good TVs are their OLEDs, which are the best TVs on the market. All of their others are pretty bad.

Not surprised on the awful scores. My sister has a middle tier 4k LG tv and it makes me cringe everytime I go over and watch movies on it (super bad IPS glow....no matter how you adjust it). My ancient 12 year old 1080p Sharp LCD Tv looks immensely better. They should seriously just give up and just focus on their OLED's - which everyone seems to rave about.

Yeah. Their OLEDs are the best TVs on the market, for sure. All of their TVs besides OLED suck.

It's having an LG like this that made me search for and end up buying a hisense u8g or u7g
Don't waste your time with this tv, it's not worth the time and disappointment.
Going from a 1080p plasma to a 4k LG like this was a downgrade on most content.

Would this be good for an outside TV for a screened in lanai? My 65" just died and am looking for a replacement that is 120 hz - Thanks!

The local dimming on NANO80 is *horrid*. Source: I own one, and the blooming is the worst I think I've ever seen.

I think the nano 86 and the nano 90 are the only led tvs worth getting.
I know people stick to the rtings reviews a lot, but i think too much. Samsung led tvs are far worse at the <1k price point. Sonys are the only thing worth looking at, but you get smaller tv for the price

I think I am starting to get the class of TV's in society today.

Upper Class(1%)/Middle upper class: Samsung, Sony, OLED TV's, 4K Projectors.

Middle Class: LG, Visio, 1080P Projectors.

Slickdealer Class: Hisense, TCL, Onn, Toshiba, Phillips.
