Does anyone know how to turn on and off the red warning light thing that came with the bike?

I removed a plastic flim that was inside yet it looks like there is no power button to turn on and off?

I put brand new AAA batteries but still it does not do anything.

Can't return the bike because of this but it would be nice if this thing can be turned on and off.

Good, you got that sorted out. Unfortunately no similarly easy solution for me. I removed the battery from the bike and plugged it straight to the charger. Still refuses to charge.

Actually one of two wires by the handle was disconnected. Once both wires/cables were securely connected, all is good.

The battery still shows 2 green and 1 red so I have no idea what that means. I will just leave it connected to the charger for a while and see what happens.

Btw I bought a Groove and this is thing is quite big. I am 5'8 and still I out the seat all the way down.

On the Stride? You're telling me on the bottom there of the rear light there is no switch? It's there, has to be. On the bottom of the light not the top or back

It is defective. It does have a button but it does nothing.

Got the Wallke F1 today. Behind a large sticker on the frame I can barely see another name for the bike and it is GEN3.
From Wallke site:
"Wallke was founded in March 2018, Guangzhou, and is owned by Liesheng Trading LLC. Our company address is, Guangzhou Liesheng Trading Co., Ltd, Room 203, No.188 Jianshe North Road, Huadu District, Guangzhou."
Gen3, we know, is in Bellevue, WA.
Likely two separate companies distributing the same bike manufactured, like most products, by an unnamed third party.

Wow. This thing is very nice.

Just took it out for a round and it is very fast.

Even at level 1 or 2, as soon as you rotate the pedal, it flies right out. I like it but I feel I need to soend some more time to get used to its response rate.

The rotors, however, are a bit too close to the brake pads that they make some noise at low speed so I may need to adjust them a bit. But how??

What happens when you plug in the charger? Does it show red light on the charger brick or green?

I bought two bikes from them. A Groove and a Stride. Groove works well. Stride's battery appears dead on arrival. When I press the battery status button, it flashes red. Means the battery is depleted. When I plug in the charger, the charger thinks the battery is fully charged and turns on the green light on the charger brick.

I have submitted a support ticket. But I don't expect to hear back anytime soon.
Can you switch the Stride battery to the Groove? Then try to charge it. If you are able to charge it, then the Stride has a loose connection somewhere (or that charger doesn't work). I think it's unusual for a new battery to show up dead.

The same here. Bit nerve racking to not have it fire up. I suspect they unhook it for safety when shipping and I might have missed some section of the manual in my childlike haste to put my new toy together.

I got my groove today, ordered on July 1st. It is insanely fast and should never be used without a helmet. This is nothing short of a moped, the chain and pedels are only for show. That's my PSA for the day. Good night.

That's normal — the last LED will always be red.

The flat side has a power icon etched into it, just press it firmly by pinching the whole thing between two fingers. Another press makes it flash. Mine's finicky but it works.

I'll be replacing it with a reflector [amazon.com] that mounts on the rack I just installed [amazon.com].

When I pulled the plastic film out it tore and a bit was still stuck between the battery and the terminal so no power. Open the case (twist something between the two little nubs at the bottom) and check the battery contacts. Then put it back together and look closely at the top and there's a little circle in the red part. It takes a firm push.

I am totally new to biking (been a few decades since I rode one).

The real issue is that this damn thing, after putting so much time and efforts putting it together, now does not turn on. The battery is on position so I am going to charge it up for a few hours and see what happens. I pressed and hold M button but nothing.

When I press and hold the button on the battery, it shows 2 green and 1 red. Does this mean this battery is totally dead?

Flex for me and I agree 100%. Only have a 350 watt Walmart Hyper Ride to compare to but this thing is a beast compared to it. The wife all of a sudden does not like her Hyper Ride that she loved a day ago and I believe I have to track down another of these.

Love the power but the snappiness does take some getting used to. Switching from second to third in pedal assist will throw your head back a bit and even in first gear as some other have said you must be careful with the pedal assist or throttle; it is a bit jumpy. If you are in a tight spot or hit it accidentally it is going to jump on you and could throw the unwary down or have them hitting something. Hence you call for helmets. I don't really consider that all a downside just more of a rider having to figure out how to use their bike properly and safely ride. Besides that, I do have a very slightly out of true front rim and very minor brake rub that I have not looked at or straightened out as of yet.
I haven't even adjusted my brakes fully and while being sure that hydraulic might be much nicer think them m fine and more than adequate. If you are always going full blast downhill in gear 21 I guess that much more serious brakes might be nice if needed for a very sudden stop but most of my bike riding does not entail that high rate of speed. At level 5 power on flat road, they stop me pretty quickly and I'm sure will do better when further adjusted.

With my limited experience kept in mind, I do think this a spectacular value at the $899 price point. I paid $398 for the Hyper Ride on sale down from $598. The Hyper Ride is surprisingly, nice for the price of $400 but the Gen3 is definitely in another class, more than a few levels above and the much better value.
