So I was thinking when they make these models they keep the same screen since that might make production sense. But, yes, not IPS for that model.
Why they still make TN screens at 15.6 is a bit of shock to me.
You deserve better in life. Do not buy TN panels.
Display quality:
The 1920x1080 (1080P) display is good but not great. Using a 60hz TN (Not IPS) Innolux N156HGA-EA3 panel, the display maxes at 220 nits in brightness and is limited to 6-bit 262k color. This results in approximately 46% color coverage. For standard day to day use, it is more than adequate and it offers a very nice picture for the price with passable viewing angles and is very easy on the eyes; but if you're into heavy photo editing and/or require proper image color correction / higher color gamut you will need to seek out a notebook with a better display at a much higher price point.

Yes, you can put more.
I also added a 500 SSD sata drive to my Acer IPS ebay deal with Ryzen processor.
No, not even close. Passmark doesn't lie and dual-core chips with subpar GPU integration should no longer be considered, especially with a TN panel for more than $250 max

Good info until you repped a refurbished sub-$250 laptop. That's a recipe for disaster
You do not understand how refurbished works. Some companies sell a product for less money that is brand new but due to pricing rules with Amazon and other vendors have to sell as refurbished.
LIke Canon cameras. The refurished cameras are brand new.
But that does not work for all companies. Some refurbished is trashed used....
You have to know which companies sell new refurbished.
Knowing is better than ignorance.

Your experience is the exception and their is always a difference between new from factory (tested to manufacturer specifications) and open box/refurbished (who knows what happened to it after it was opened). Most of us don't have spare time or energy to gamble on non-new products from eBay.

If you read the reviews, nearly everyone got a brand new computer from Acer. I already bought other stuff.
Also that includes the western digital drives. Brand new. Not even a finger print on them. Sealed in plastic.
Plus 2 year warranty. Plus free returns.
Voted hot deal on SD.
Cheap TN displays will make you hate life.
Got any other great recommendations ?
