If you look at this more as a collectible it's awesome. The style is exactly like a Game & Watch. The screen is really nice and bright and the colors are great. Zelda 1 and 2 play well although the controls are a bit mushy for the exacting demand required of Zelda 2. Built in battery and USB-C charging are nice. Packaging is excellent and definitely worth of a nice collectible.

If you're getting this as a game system don't bother. If only has 2 ancient games and there are other, way better ways to play these games. If you have a switch you get them with Nintendo Online.

Basically you know if you want this and are the target audience for this. 20% off is a pretty good deal but I see so many of these in the stores I can't help but think they'll eventually drop more.

I would be jumping on this if it included A Link to the Past. As it is, I'll grab one if it hits $20.

I suspect that is not accurate. Looks to me like this particular item is now broken on Brickseek. I last checked it a week or two ago it was working then and showed a bunch of local results and well now it doesn't..... I seriously doubt they are sold out.

Best technique I found to replace the stock chip since I didn't have a hot air station was to flood both sides of the chip with solder(creating two bridges across each set of four legs) then to dual wield soldering irons making the solder molten on each side, while a family member lifted the chip off the board.

Brickseek has been broken on these, all my walmarts have 4-5 of these and Brickseek shows 0.

IMO, these really were a missed opportunity. Imagine if they released these as Pokemon Yellow/Red/Blue/Green instead of Mario and Zelda. I would've bought them all myself and wouldn't have modified them LMAO

Yeap, this was a reliable way to get the chip off. Used a liberal amount of flux to keep things clean

What can this run? NES/GB/GBC only?

I disagree, the dpad is everything when it comes to NES and this is the best dpad of anything current for NES. I highly recommend this, but I also recommend modding adding a bigger chip and making a nice compact portable NES.
