I have this. I don't know how exactly to describe this but it keeps reconnecting to my devices over and over and over again even when I haven't plugged something new in. This happened to my other monoprice charger as well.
Ok this is the real reason i love slickdeals, real people, real talking, not fake review accounts. you can ask people that have product what they think, and learn a lot. i wish slickdeals could do review pages of products too and have an entire catolog.... but then if it became big enough they would have fake ones too i guess
Mine does this as well, but I use those multi-tip charging cables (like these [amazon.com]) so I just assumed those were at fault. I'll usually just unplug a device and the others start behaving correctly. I use it for travel so I'm not picky but I could see that getting really annoying. Reviews mention this issue as well.

Oddly enough, this happens with an outlet I have that has built-in USB A and C ports. It's like they don't like coordinating with each other or something.

Also, anytime this charger comes up, I feel the need to mention that there are certain slide-on travel adapters (EU etc) you can find that will slide onto the AC prongs while they are folded.

Yes, I had similar issue, to charge another device, no other cable should be plugged into other slots. I got frustrated & returned this one. It was not only not charging simultaneously, I had to remove cables from other slots in order to make it charge.

I'm having the same problem with multiple devices (esp my Apple Watch). Has occurred across two different Monoprice chargers. Would not recommend, going to switch to the Anker 735 instead. It's more trouble than it's worth.
I have two of these chargers and both have the same problem. Seems to be an issue with multiple devices plugged in to the charger.

Ordered this back in May via Slickdeals- works well; been using it to charge a Lenovo 14" laptop at 65w.
No issues, it does get hot though.

that defeats the entire purpose of the device though!

So i got this, but i'm failing to draw more than 55W with my laptop. Does it depend on how power hungry the laptop is? I thought it would be like a stable 65W for my laptop but I guess I'm wrong
I think it only does 60W, 90W or 100W so you might be getting 5W inefficiency loss off the 60W mode. See pic of the charger specs: https://images.monoprice.com/prod...435561.jpg
According to this site: https://manhattanproducts.us/page...technology PD 1.0 does not have variable power but 2.0/3.0 can do anywhere from 45W to 100W. So maybe the charger is 1.0 gen.

When i use a USB-A to USB-C adapter can I trick the charger to give me full charging power, for example Apple Watch 7 is getting fast charging via USB-A port + USB-C adapter?

https://www.amazon.com/Syntech-Ad...121&sr=8-3 [amazon.com]
You need a PD trigger module to trick the charger:

The one you linked that never goes on sale is UL certified, which is not an easy or cheap certification process to go through. It generally indicates a higher quality product since they went through the effort of getting the testing done.

Any Pixel 6 pro users out here? This is pretty specific but I'm having an issue with the pixels wireless battery share feature when using this charger when the phone is low on battery. Just curious if it's just me. It's a bit annoying when trying to charge my wireless charging earbuds the night before using pixels wireless battery share. Bought 2 of these chargers and it's happening on both.

Just want to say, this is a risky deal.

This just happened to mine (purchased December 2022; sparked in May 2023).

Charging an iPhone & Apple Watch (nowhere near 100W) and it made a loud pop and started smoking. Ran to unplug. Thank goodness I was awake, as I had this next to my bed.

Not a safe deal, my dudes. We aren't the only ones. Someone on Monoprice wrote almost the exact thing:
Quote :
Could've burned down the house!!!
Not only did this die within 6 months, it went out with a loud pop and started emitting tons of smoke! Burned to the touch when I ran to unplug it from the outlet. I hate to think what could've happened had I not been home at the time.
