Depends on what you prioritize. If you have multiple HDMI 2.1 gaming consoles (PS5, XSX, PC) I'd go with the C1. If none of that matters to you, wait on the Sony. The Sony supports HDMI 2.1, but it's limited to HDMI ports 3(eARC), and 4. If you plan on using a sound bar or AVR, you'll either have to get a HDMI 2.1 compliant receiver for HDMI 2.1 passthrough, get a HDMI 2.1 switch, or run your audio through optical (not ideal). The Sony 77" will have better picture quality and it has a glossy finish unless the smaller A80Js that have a semi matte screen. Enjoy whatever you decide to get.

Do we know if these are evo panels?

only way you can spot it is if you have access to the box for C1 sets...

Does buydig charge tax in Colorado? If not, this might be the end of the line for me.

Check rtings, thats not correct.

People read things as binary and it simply isnt the case. Just because something is "better" doesnt mean the other thing "just doesnt work" rtings and others have highlighted that its perfectly watchable...it just wont be as bright.

I have a C7 in a room with 3 huge 60x60" windows....no issues during the day, is it as bright as my LED in the other room...no, but i would say we are talking +/-10-15% difference... unless you have literally the sun shinning on the screen, you are fine.

literally rated a 9.3 out of 10 for reflections, thats better then all but a few tvs.

"The LG C1 has superb reflection handling. The glossy finish and anti-reflective coating significantly reduce the intensity of direct reflections. Visibility can still be an issue if you have a lot of sunlight, though, due to the TV's relatively low brightness with some content."

Not that anyone needs my review, but this TV is amazing. My buddy bought it in January and I finally watched a movie (The Thing) on it recently.

In the words of Ferris, "it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

I was able to get a brand new g1 oled 65" for $1500 (before tax) and though I love it, I really wanted a 77". Is this a deal worth returning my 65" for or should I stick with the g1 series and wait for a 77"? Thanks
If you dont mind, can you please let me know from where you got that g1 for 1500? Seemed like a good deal.

I believe all 77" and 83" have the WBE/Evo panels.

I have a 77" C1 and highly recommend it. Especially at this price.

I don't mind at all. I purchased an open box certified excellent condition g1 65" a couple weeks ago when it came up on Slickdeals and when I got there, apparently the tv wasn't geek squad certified and none of the parts/accessories were included. To make it up for it, they sold me a brand new one for $1500 🤷🏼 lol

That's incorrect, they converted production line about halfway through to Evo panels, you need the box to tell. There is a reddit thread and articles that walk how to tell....

Will be great as will plenty of other tvs. It's all about want. If it was need only...you'd buy one of the cheaper tvs that deliver solid picture and performance for about $800-1000 cheaper.

This is a 100% want tv

Great clip...go to 1:35 and listen and watch.

Yes when the tv is off...you see yourself.

Good thing I only watch TV when the TV is on....

The Military Exchange had the 77-inch C2 for 2899.00. Not sure which way to go. Wait for the Exchange to put it back on sale or get the C1. No sales tax at the Exchange

I believe the switch between panels was for 65" and below. I'm familiar with the Reddit thread, which is very helpful, and have followed the AVSForum thread for this model.

While I don't think LG ever confirmed this, if anyone were to get a WBC 77" or 83" it would be an anomaly.
