Be sure to watch YT for installations. Common installation mistakes for above items include over-tightening and tightening wrong direction.

Start with these 2 videos and be patient:

How to Adjust a Front Derailleur [youtu.be]
How to Adjust a Rear Derailleur [youtu.be]

One main reason MTB/gravel riders upgrade to 1x (one by) drivetrain is to simplify the derailleur adjustments. This bike can be upgraded to 1x later, but would require upgrading the rear hub/wheel. There's nothing wrong with 3x drivetrain on this bike. In my opinion, 1x is more of a quality-of-life upgrade, others might tell you 1x also saves weight.

The seat post is straight, no curve. The curve is in the seat tube on the frame. You would cut the bottom of the straight seat post. If you're not comfortable cutting, you can buy a shorter seat post on Amazon. I bought one for one of my bikes for under $10 during Prime Day. This bike takes 30.9mm diameter seat post.
These are now at $180 - 25% off. If you ordered at $180 and your order hasn't shipped they will give you the 25% discount if you call them. At least they did for me.

Thanks! My order for my friend is arriving today. If it arrives damaged, definitely returning it and reordering from Overton. Otherwise will keep it as $180 is still a steal.

Can you please link the seat post you bought ? Thanks. I see couple of suspension seat posts, not sure if they add any value.

I bought it for a different bike that takes 27.2mm seat post. I haven't received bike from this thread yet, so have no idea how long the seat post is. You would want to buy something shorter if you don't want to cut it. Here is an example of a 31.6mm seat post that would fit this bike, but it's 400mm long which is pretty long, might be as long as the stock seat post on this bike so would not really help. Anyway this example is $8 brand new after discount: https://a.co/d/8WHvGzl

I think for $8, even if it is the same length, I would order it anyway and cut down the $8 one to keep the stock post the full length... just in case my legs grew or something(or I was selling it later).

Is this handle bar you posted earlier the exact one you end up buying? https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074YYNWDM If so, can you post how the install goes and how you like it? This setup looks a lot more comfortable to me than the flat bar (I am in the same boat as you with a destroyed back, etc.), hoping it works out for you! I also have the stem riser and adjustable stem that you posted saved in my cart just in case if the swept bars aren't enough for me. Thanks for your posts, they have been very helpful!

Side note, I ordered one of these to replace the stock seat (which is nice, but small and hard Big Grin), this is my second one as I got one for my son's bike and he loves it compared to his stock seat which is very much like the stock seat on this bike. It isn't comfortable like chilling in a couch, but way more comfortable than stock IMHO. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PY5864V
Hello sorry for the late reply, i have been traveling. Yes that is the one. Here is the link that i purchased because i wanted it as soon as possible.

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08P3B6HF1

i didn't share the link because it was the last one in stock and as you can see it's currently not available. The link you provided i purchased July of 2021 for my 2 other electric bikes. Our framed bike needs the larger 31.8mm middle i believe and the one i bought was correct. Maybe for the one that you linked, i had to buy stem spacers to make it fit, i don't remember. With the one i ordered i honestly wasn't sure if it would fit, there aren't that many options for mustache bars under $60.

I am attaching a few pics of my setup. PLEASE NOTE WITH THE STEM RISER AND ADJUSTABLE STEM, I NEED TO RE-DO THE CABLES!!!!!! I forgot about this, but when you add too much height to standard bike, the brake and shifter cables become too short and new cables and housing have to be reinstalled. I couldn't get it to the height i wanted without breaking the cables. The height i currently have the bike at is just enough to wear the cables aren't being pulled too tight when the front wheel is turned to an extreme position. Also the handlebars and brakes aren't in the optimal spot , because i positioned them in a way to just let me ride the bike for a few days to test out the handlebar height mainly.

Now i have to redo all the housing and cables which will be a huge pain but it will be worth doing in order to have a comfortable ride. Once again i am 6 foot 3, 36" inseam so trying to find a tall person bike is really hard so i have to modify it for myself.

As for the pain, the ride is so much better. i was doing bunny hops, jumping curbs, going through the woods like no problem. Best $125 i have ever spent, by far no questions about it. I think this is my favorite slick deal ever. Before this it was probably a 32" TV that was about the same price as this, this was about 15 years ago lol.

Thanks for the update, repped! I was hoping you hadn't wrecked your bike and ended up in the hospital Big Grin. Anyway, you answered my main question, I thought by measuring it was the 31.8mm needed, but hard to tell with the tapered bar, etc., I was about to pull out the circumference/radius, etc. formula's to figure it out that way Big Grin.

Just received my bike. Still in the box but seat post is clearly marked 30.9mm x 350mm. So if you don't want to cut, buy something shorter than 350mm long in 30.9mm diameter.

EDIT: WRONG!!!! Seat post is marked 31.6mm x 350mm. This is a 31.6mm seat post folks. To make sure, I took out my digital caliper and indeed it measured 31.6mm. Also to be sure, I inserted it into the seat tube with no fitment issues. This just gets better and better. Fatter seat post means stronger and better dropper upgrade options in the future! Such a great bike at this ridiculous price!

What are you trying to say? Been having a bike alerts since 2019. This is the best priced bike in the past 2+years if you eliminate Costco /Walmart and Target bikes. I got Costco and returned it. Walmart was returned as well
Yes. This is a great deal. Excellent bike for $125! I'm questioning the people that are saying this is on par with/as good as/equivalent to a $600 Trek Marlin, based on specs, because this bike (the Framed Rendal) sells for $400 everyday. So, why isn't this bike killing the sales of the $200 more Trek. What did that extra $200 get you on the Trek?

It's priced at 550, 125 was a crazy low and brief clearance. In addition framed is not heavily marketed whereas trek is arguably the largest bike brand sold in lbs. I think most people who are fixated on brand recognition aren't informed enough to actually know what they're paying for and fail to do the due diligence of research to get the best value to performance for their money, case in point.
The Framed Rendal (same as this bike) sells for $400. It's been out for a while. If it's as good/equivalent/on par with the Marlin, why hasn't it become more popular. Most people here had never heard of the brand. Word of mouth spreads like wildfire on social media. The $400 Rendal should be considered a Marlin-killer and be selling like hot cakes. It isn't as far as I can tell.

Do this...create a hot deals post here for the $400 Rendal and say it's a hot deal because it's as good as/on par with/equivalent to the $200 more expensive Marlin. Lots of bike people here. We'll see if they agree.

Mind sharing your height? Top bar isn't too high? I'm 5-9, we'll within the 5-6 to 5-10 heights that the 18" is supposed to fit, and that top bar is a ball crusher!

I am 5'10". It's probably a little bit high but I think I can live with that… specially for that price lol.

I linked the spec sheet for both the Framed and the Marlin feel free to post it as a side by side image, they are equivalent in spec making this bike equivalent to a Marlin objectively speaking, now wether you or others think spending 200-400 more for the Trek is worth it is not my prerogative nor is it the point I was making. As far as deals are concerned 400 is still a better deal in comparison to the Trek purely from a valuation (what you are getting for the money from a component standpoint based on per piece pricing to performance). Similar bang for bucks can be had with some new big box store bikes carrying modern geometry and similar components at that 400-600 price point (extremely dense price area where the water gets muddy with budget options). Hence why "no named" brands get overlooked so easily. Happy to address any other quandaries you continue to have.
