I want to make sure I can " blur vitural background" on my Zoom meeting. Does this laptop support it? I bought an Asus $250 Ryzen 3 last month but it didn't support "blur virtual background " on Zoom.

This HP Laptop has a 11th Gen 4-core i5, should have no problem in supporting virtual background. You may check further https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/...quirements

You put the drive in. It won't boot, so you have to boot from a windows installation media. That means telling the system to boot from a cd, or making a windows installer flashdrive. You go in bios and boot from the thumb drive, whicheans turning off secure boot and setting up flash drive as bootable. Once the installation media is booted, you install it on the new drive.

I'd prefer to add a NVME, but not replacing the HDD with a 2.5" SSD. This should be the best best value for money solution.
Since Windows 7 or so, windows product key is stored in the BIOS. This makes our life so much easier if we ever want to reinstall or upgrade Windows. And of course, Google/Youtube search always help if needed.
Can you pls elaborate on the option on how to use bios to upgrade windows online

Right now, I have a 16gb 3200 chip that is just sitting around along with a NVME Western digital 500 black...Are there two Ram slots, or are there four gigs that are soldered into the main board? I would take a look at this, if I could put both my leftover parts from a broken Motile Ryzen 3 laptop. Thanks.

I used to own a 2018 version of these HP craptops. The problems are 1.) Gimped USB-C port, data only. 2.) Terrible screen. 3.) HDDs are horrible.

You should think about how much your time is worth. An underpowered PC will ruin your productivity. You can watch for specials and get a really nice laptop for $900. That's a $550 difference. If you keep the computer for a year and value your time at $20 an hour, you have already made money after you save 27.5 hours of your time.

I don't skimp on technology anymore. It just costs you money.
I think you are misunderstanding the demographic these laptops target... People pulling the trigger on a $350 refurb probably don't have the $900 laying around to drop on a laptop.

No need to talk to me about the speed and sexiness of a Lambo when I am only working with a Corolla budget.

WTF? 11th gen i5 isn't underpowered. You sound foolish. This simply needs a 256 ssd.

I found the below YouTube video useful to visualize how to upgrade this laptop with new SSD. The video shows opening the laptop, installing the SSD, upgrading the Win OS. The one thing am not clear is, this eBay HP laptop comes with pre-installed Win 10 OS, how to reinstall the same OS in the new SSD? Do I need the Win 10 product key noted down from the Windows OS page before doing this upgrade? Or, does the key automatically stored in BIOS? How to do this reinstall OS step? Any step-by-step tutorial?

I am also confused whether this laptop will support SATA M2 SSD (550 MB/s) or NVMe M2 SSD (3500+ MB/S? Which one should I order online, to upgrade this laptop?
