I have several boxes like this from Ridgid and Milwaukee. Here are my impressions.

I've looked at other brands, and walked away laughing -- Craftsman, Husky, Hart, etc are flimsy wanna-be boxes. Even some of the DeWalts fall into this bucket too. Thin, cheap plastic, lots of twisting & bending, and the worst of which -- terrible latches. They're not worth it. And they're priced too close to Ridgid to be competitive as a bargain option.

If you aren't a professional contractor hauling around the maximum weight limit of these boxes every single day in adverse conditions -- save your cash and buy Ridgid. Using arbitrary figures -- Ridgid is about 90% of the Milwaukee quality for half the price.

If you're a serious contractor where money isn't an object...when "you absolutely can't have something fail" -- look at Milwaukee. It's a better build quality, but with diminishing returns. They can hold a lot more weight, take a lot more abuse. They exude a premium fit and finish....with quite a few case options to choose from. If I was professional, I'd go with big red and not look back.

But if you're a weekend warrior/homeowner/casual repairer -- big red is spending a premium for something you're probably never going to take advantage of. Ridgid and Milwaukee will hold up equally fine under the same average conditions. Save your cash and buy two oranges instead of one red. Or put that cash into actual tools.

Ridgid is the sweet spot in tool cases right now. And if they're on sale, you can't go wrong.

If you watch the video reviews, the lid storage on the Hart is tiny and can only fit precision screwdrivers and small pliers, so it's not as useful.

Or rather, it depends heavily what you plan on putting in it. I am using this for home electrical supplies and tools, which is a bunch of different and mostly bulky cutters, pliers, and wire strippers, so this one works better for me.

Either way the Hart is sold out within 100miles of me and I'm sure you'd be happy with either.
I had to check out your comment on the precision screwdrivers right away.....haha. I have some bigger ones that wouldnt fit but I only have a few of those so no big deal putting those in a longer compartment. Im not sure what you mean by precision.....I tend to think of the really tiny screwdrivers as precision. It definitely fits my medium/regular sized screwdrivers (not just the tiny little computer ones). I decided to load it up and its perfect for my needs. I can see everything at once instead of having to pull everything out of my tool bag to find stuff. I was able to load all the screwdriver and plier slot so its more organized on the inside. If Rigid did something similar I would definitely go with the bigger box though

Price on the small pro organizer jumped for me up to 24.97$. Southern California.
Dang it! These *were* my prices here in Tejas. Now they are $24.98 for case. $29.97 for organizer case. Ugh—missed it!

Thought the lower prices would continue through 4th of July.

Great for the money. I have bought several over the years and use the small one for electrical, nuts, bolts etc. Also, if you have a 3d printer, several files online for extra bins or small bins to fit into the ridgid bins.

I do like the Milwaukee stuff better, and will upgrade if I catch them at a good price but the Ridgid cant be beat for value compared to everything else out there. They do outgas, so I always leave them open outside for a day or two which helps a lot.

Lastly, inspect the boxes before you buy, ever so often the gasket might be deformed or lid doesnt close properly. Seen it 3 or 4 times. And I had one replaced under warranty when it started to deform after 3 or 4 months.

I picked up the Keter 241111 branded version of the recent Hart deal back in early 2020 for $13. Like dealz4home said, it can definitely accommodate standard sized screwdrivers, probably 3"/80mm comfortably, and 4"/100mm max. Longer/larger pliers like Milwaukee 7.75" 6-1, Knipex 9511200, or Klein 1005 are a no go in the top rail, but will fit in the lower one.

The online price is listed at 24.98. However, the in-store price is listed at 19.98.

Did you actually take the tool box to the register and scan it? They're showing a higher price online and on the shelf tags but they rang up for lower price in the stores today (San Jose).

According to the paperwork taped on the display it said to keep it up through 7/24/22.

I think they're doing it this way so they don't have to SHIP them anywhere for that price, because then they'd be losing money .

Went for it while on vacation in myrtle. Good deal. I can't justify $140 for a red cart vs a whole set for less $$ at similar quality.

I have both. The Milwaukees are much higher quality with more options and functionality, but they do cost a heckuva lot more.

Ridgid are lifetime, so quality is backed in case it fails. What options? And do you think they're worth the almost 4x cost?

Don't see anything about lifetime warranties on these. Just tools and batteries for all I know.

Packouts also have a lifetime warranty. They are much stouter, better handles, better wheels, better interlocking mechanism, higher weight capacity, and IP65 rated.

They come in about a dozen different sizes, with four rolling options, and integrate with toolbags, parts organizers and backpacks. You can configure a stack any way you want to and the 3D printing crowd has dozens of available brackets, upgrades, and storage solutions that seamlessly integrate with them.

They are more expensive, but not 4x the cost. The standard 3-piece stack sale price is typically $200, compared to $100 for these little Ridgids. If you move your tools around a lot, the Packouts are probably worth it, while an average homeowner would probably be fine with the Ridgids if the available sizes fit your needs.

Good info. I'll keep an eye out for the Milwaukee when they go on sale, because currently they are $310 for the same 3 box set as the ridgid. Thank you.
