Bare with me, this is my first post & I'm doing it from my Cellphone.
BrandsMart just put up the LG C1 65' for $1298.88 on their website. This is the lowest I've seen it brand new. Pretty sure Best Buy and other retailers will price match as long as you have one within a certain distance. Please let me know if there is anything I'm missing in the post.

Ordinary OTA TV you're not going to gain anything I believe.
If your current TV is < 65" then...you "gain" a bigger view area.
I'm not big on "smart" features, I do not want my devices profiling me and selling my data.
You are spot on about larger screen size. I think I will hold off on an a80J 65 inch once they hit the $13-1400 price point again. Thanks for explaing this all to me, I appreciate it.
I was able to price match online in So Cal on the first attempt.
Delivery and pickup were options were both available.

1. Search Google bestbuy pricematch
2. Click search result with Bestbuy pricematch guarantee
3. On online tab click best buy chat and request pricematch
4. Send the link of the LG 65" from Brandsmart
5. Say you want to pick it up in-store.
6. They will send you a link to pay online.
7. Once that is done then you will get a email confirmation of the order.
8. Wait for email from bestbuy when tv is ready for pick-up.
That is how I did it.
I was able to get price match done and went through purchase, but I do remember agent saying something in nature of, you can't use PayPal or Apple pay. GL.
I did it differently. One agent approved price match and i asked to create and provide case id. Later i placed an order and chatted again with case id.
$1299.88 was a failure at Best Buy.
