Just wanted to update. After turning off Fast Start mine no longer dies in hibernation. It only lost 2% battery after a full day hibernating so I'm happy again.

Big pimpin'!

The igpu is so good on these Ryzens. Performance is impressive for and igpu. Almost 1050 (laptop) performance.

God of War and Cyberpunk 2077 playable at 1080p 30fps+

What do you people do with a touchscreen laptop? Just get a yoga series then, instead of commenting on EVERY normal laptop post

I just went on notebookcheck and put it up against the Acer Swift X 14 (5800U + 3050 Ti) FP Deal I recently picked up. IIRC Vega 8: 100%, 680M: 190%, 3050 Ti: 370%. I also have the Thinkbook 13s G2 ARE (4800U, 16GB, 2560x1600) that I'm selling now that I have the Acer. I'd keep the Thinkbook if the GPUs were similar and the high res screen wasn't causing my 1080p PCs to rearrange everything when I remote into them. The Acer games soo much better and has two 2280 slots, but the Thinkbook is lighter, has better speakers, slightly better keyboard, better touchpad, better screen, single 2242 slot, and looks and feels more premium. The Acer is really nice but Lenovo nails what a small notebook should be.
Did your Acer swift x refurb have any cosmetic or usability issues?

Damn! If I had known THIS was coming I would have skipped the Dell 5310 deal. Now I'm torn. I'm greatly enjoying the screen and keyboard on the Thinkpad E15 Gen4 from a few days ago. But it's still in the return window and this deal here is spectacular.

Excellent screen, great cpu, faster than **** memory, the ideal storage for my needs. What to do, what to do……

I now have 3 non touch screens and 1 touch screen and I find I don't miss it a bit. I thought I would, but nope.
Me too, would return the Dell Latitude 7390 I got for my kid and spring the extra for this if I could.

Are there any data points on if the USB4 implementation / drivers on this laptop support TB3 or TB4 external GPU enclosures?

I don't understand the hate for 300nits. For an indoor display I don't put it anywhere near full brightness. I have a laptop with like 220 nits and it's still bright enough for me.

Everyone out there pretending that they are out in the sun all day editing spreadsheets and writing code for 12 hours a day…

Personally 300 is fine and I don't even use my laptop at that brightness. Sears the retinas. My Samsung is like 500nits, but no way would I use it that bright.

IMO it's only a problem on glossy screens, It's best to have 400 nits minimum to combat the glare on those especially if you go outdoors with the laptop.

SSDs are always upgradeable they are never soldered in unless it's a really low end machine with 32gb flash memory or something

The form factor of this SSD makes it very difficult to almost impossible to upgrade.
Also keep in mind that the memory is non upgradable. Main reason why I had to ditch my less than a year old 3rd gen same laptop. If you think you can live with these two shortcomings regarding upgradability, then this is a decent laptop.
Sa few other things that I thought this laptop can improve:
1) screen is just ok. Could be a bit brighter.
2) the bios is bare bones
3) the laptop fans turn on to high speed and then slow down to nothing and this cycle repeats over and over. Not sure if they fixed this in the latest gen but this is pretty irritating/ distracting.

i read 400-500 is better. I have some devices that i can't see well out in the sun. i'm not too concerned about brightness. Will be used mostly indoors.

Ok I need some help. From laptop gurus. For simplicity sake leave out the fact this has ddr5 memory and the best Igpu.

Assuming specs are close, all same screen size 13.3, and going on build quality and reliability, can people rate the following 4 laptops in order.

Dell 5310
HP Elitebook
Ideapad PRO
The thinkbook in this post

Thanks.
You'd have to post specific links or specs. This is a great deal but depends on what is important to you.
