Yes, I understand what you mean— if the memory was upgradable, it would be even more appealing to the relatively small customer base of power users who are looking for a portable laptop.
which is better ?
Download the Windows 11 ISO and use Rufus to flash the USB drive -- there is an option for Windows to Go. You will have to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS settings (F1) and then F12 to select the boot-able flash drive. Later re-enable Secure Boot.
Anybody worried about fan noise should look at a Gen 3 SD thread where they discuss a registry hack. I did it and don't have any unusual fan noise.
EDIT: I did a full backup using Macrium Reflect Free prior to doing the clean install in case it didn't work.

This new computer on Win11 won't wake up from Sleep Mode the following day. Any tips? I've found this video on where to edit the power plan but curious if there was a better resolution.

This seems like such a simple thing. Have zero idea why this doesn't work out of the box. Pretty weak!

First of all, the question of who are using the touch screen is ridiculous and absurd, because aren't the phones, tablets and pretty much everything is touch screen?
Second, with certain prince point whether or not we use that particular feature they should include the capabilities.
The reason myself look for touchscreen, even I don't use it much to be honest is, if I have to give to my kids or wife they don't use anything these days which are not touch screen.
Also, I use touch screen a lot when I travel on flights and at airports.
So with this price point I guess they should have included a touch screen.
Beside that this is ThinkBook not ThinkPad I guess there is a significant difference in quality.

I don't see much point in touchscreen unless it has 360* hinge like yoga. I have an x1 yoga as my primary and the only time I use touchscreen is to sign some documents with the pen and the only good position is folded into tablet mode.

Any thin and light laptop for general use that has good build quality to last another 8 years?
