I think people are trying to pull a sneaky by just listing a processor type and not the model number… Catching people that are sleeping.
ie: look at this rad laptop with i7 and nvidia gpu!
Could be an i7-740qm and an nvidia 425m (w/1GB of ddr3… not ever gddr3) from like 12 years ago…
I bought the 13.5" version of this, actually had issue with first one making high pitched fan noise. Did warranty swap with Microsoft and new one is good. Yeah, older processor and 8gb of ram but if not a power user you're getting extremely nice build quality and good high res display at cheap price. I'd recommend it for secondary computer or someone with simple needs. This was $1100 2 years ago so at $369 now I think is a good deal.
Battery appears to be new. Look out for LED bleed though. Not as bad as the Acer had, but there still is some on the bottom edge of the SL3. Comes with a 1 year Microsoft warranty, then a year after of the All-State one.

Which Lenovo deal?
- the equivalent intel processor for comparison
(seems to be well into the i7 category, regardless of the age)
- upgradable to Windows 11
(seems YES, https://www.amd.com/en/products/a...ce-edition)
If one needs a 2022 model with the fastest processor, I guess this is a terrible deal. Otherwise, it's a very respectable product.

If you're technical, it's possible to replace it using rubbing alcohol and heat to remove the glue. The laptop has a repairability score of 5/10. The SL4 has a score of 0/10.

When Microsoft set out to build the Surface line they wanted to show that Premium AKA (Apple) could be built by its partners HP, Dell, etc and folks would buy them. Are they overpriced non upgradable devices yes without a doubt. They cost more so the partners were not competing directly on price. MS would rather take the non sale to provide HP, Dell etc to build premium vs the plastic junk we used to get from them.
I think it was a great concept at the time and has given even the hard core techies options in the laptop space that would not have come about had MS not used the tactic.
Is this a capable everyday premium device that can get the job done? No question. It is probably priced where it should have been new or within a few hundred bucks.
if you can get a decent warranty with it at this price it's well worth it.
Now the geek in me wants 16GB ram 1TB storage and a current gen cpu.
$369 is a great price imo. yes it has glued on this and glued on that, but the screen itself is worth most of the bang.
This is a great day in day out device for the average consumer.
