You wont notice a difference. At $100, you're probably looking at 3600 MHz C18, which would have the same first word latency as this set- basically the same effective speed. The only benefit of the other set would be high bandwidth. Some sets will have tighter secondary and tertiary timings, but that is unlikely to be worth 25% more.

I have used and installed many many TeamGroup memories for years. Never had any issues. Most memory modules are nowadays very durable. It's the handling and running environment that contribute to faulty memories early.

Bought this from the last FP deal 10 days ago, works fine with my old dell PC at 2400 (the highest speed its MB can support. Just did the chat with Newegg to have a $5 gift card for the price difference.

From what I gather, the bios or whatever it's called nowadays, will run it at the slower speed of the ram modules available (Teamgroup 16-20-20-40 CAS Latency) or will I be able to manually set the CAS settings of G.Skill to match the lesser speed Teamgroup?

Still 85 at Amazon for folks who don't want to buy from Newegg. I just don't know if this stuff is gonna keep dropping. I'm building my PC piecemeal over the next few weeks I think this does qualify for Newegg price protection

I believe these use SK Hynix memory modules, so they won't be prolific overclockers. I might buy these for an Intel build if I was on a budget and needed 32GB. If I was building an AMD system, I'd either go for a higher rated speed or look for a set with Samsung B or Micron E die chips to maximize my memory and infinity fabric clock speed.

Early 2021 review says micron B rebranded...used to be Hynix.

Let us know if you bought one and found out about ICs.
