Thanks OP! Seems like a good price. Submitted the lower price to Amazon [amazon.com]. Maybe they'll match?

If your keyboard/mouse is logitech and uses the same dongle, then yes you should be able to pair another mouse to the dongle through a downloaded software (Logi+ options or something?).

The dongle should have little orange logo and say Logitech. There are two other dongles, a logitech Bolt (higher security for corporate use), and lightspeed (for gaming), but I think it's unlikely that a run-of-the-mill keyboard/mouse combo would use either of those.

It would only link together if both are unifying devices (with the orange starburst on the dongles and the bottom of the device). Some also use a standard non-unifying receiver (like the MK270 combo) and some use a non-unifying receiver that is unique to its device (like the MK470 combo). The software to use is called Logitech Unifying Software.

If the keyboard is Unifying it probably will work.

You can use the software to add or remove devices from any Unifying dongle.

I have both, and I really can't tell the difference as a non-gamer.

If you are using a laptop, then BT would be preferable since it won't tie up a USB port.

A unifying receiver by itself costs more than this on Amazon (~$13).

What I find these days is that mice's button clicks die way too quickly, and I am not a gamer. 10 years ago these issues rarely happens. I wish I could just replace the click module like replacing a battery so I don't have to throw them away.

The wheel can go left and right for back and forth. Note that there are arrows.
