The CPU is far from the most powerful option out there. Ryzen here doesn't mean what AMD wants you to think it means, i.e. - this is an entry-level CPU with older Zen cores, vs. the hotter Zen+ and Zen2 cores. Sadly AMD's entry into the ChromeOS space hasn't been a game changer yet. However, for a Chromebook this CPU is plenty powerful for loads of applications.
Having an x86 CPU also enables Linux compatibility, though that brings up the other note in this thread: RAM. The RAM is, again, plenty for most applications in ChromeOS. About the only place this tends to fall apart is in Linux support. Of course, many users of ChromeOS Linux support are fully aware of their RAM requirements. If you're never loading Linux, why worry?
A ChromeOS device with an x86 CPU and touch screen through a reasonably reputable sales channel at this price is a good buy if you've been shopping for a "good" Chromebook.
Good luck!

It's perfect. Bought a month ago in a very similar deal post. No complaints.

I disagree with that statement. Been using for a month. Happy here. And I'm surrounded by PCs and machines in my home office.
Yes it does.
