I don't know if this classifies as a deal but it's in stock online and I just picked up in store at Mall of Georgia in Buford. According to the sales associate there they have "a lot" in stock.

Best Buy sitting on 20,000 of these in inventory in stores. I'm wondering if they're going to have some discount sale?

Thanks for Sharing. it can be hard to find. FYI you can also buy these from MSFT directly if you want one. It's good to support a company that kept gaming prices somewhat accessible over the last couple years (it's bee in stock there since December) . i actually picked up one refurb and a 3 year warranty for 450.

the series x is freaking amazing. It's better than my 1080 ti in the games i play like witcher/cyberpunk and rd2 graphics wise. It's a movie player, games are super cheap (i got a ton of used ones). I think with where GPU prices are still at it is totally worth checking out even here in july 2022 it's a monster value.

it's about a 6700 xt and maybe a little better if you factor in the kind of optimizations possible for a console (i'm being conservative).
3700 processor
1tb ssd
psu
cooler/case
blue ray player
move streamer
controller

Microsoft Killed it on this one. People make the case that you need a pc anyway but when the 6700xt costs this much i say fine get a cpu with an igpu and use this for gaming because you also probably need a blue ray player, gpu and everything else.

I'll buy a gpu after they drop more, but they even kept the controllers forward compatible replaceable battery packs. This thing is the 3090 of value. Absolutely the best tech purchase i've made in years, and that was 6 months ago zero issues. It also doesn't make a sound. It is at least worth giving it a try. if your coming from pc gaming(me and i have given up for now) the only issue is of course you now have to deal with your games in a couple of places,

People talk about game prices (because this still uses disks it's cheap):
i bought cyber punk for 7 game stop used
witcher for 10
, rd2 for 18, and a bunch of used games. it's kind of whatever... game pass is also good. it 's a nice default thing to have to check out new games and get some discounts on the digital ones a la like street fighter and such. it's a great digital movie placer and plays.

Am i saying pc gaming is bad, I 'am not. I'd do it in a second. I love pc gaming. THis makes it hard to justify >500 for a gpu unless it's super amazing. I've got to get to an 800 gpu before it's interesting and that's just too costly for only a gpu IMO. I'm just here to tell you this is a great product based on my experience.

They make almost (microsoft) zero money on these. it's about a 75 markup now, and some of this money kicks back to best buy. They are giving you a pretty good deal even vs gpus already.

Where you'll see the prices drop is when they update it next year. they usually modernize the parts and are able to drop costs with that (like the slim version). I'm not saying you won't see 450 here and there but this version probably can't sell that much lower unless component prices really drop.

one thing you might want to do because 500 is a ton of money is get a refurb. you can get their warranty thing for 30 on top of that. it's under or about 450 usually. And this is about a 8 year purchase at this point maybe more for mainstream gaming. so that 's 60 a year which is about the cost of a single game. Not really that bad. they won't have to discount. They are still having shortages all over the world. UK is trying to get controllers for example. They will have zero issues selling these unlike 6-800 gpus for the card alone. The 6700 xt alone is 500. And this is a 3700 cpu, psu, case, fan blue ray player etc on top of that. I think you can buy this and feel very confident your getting some value.

Anyone jumping into Xbox should def look into the 3 year live to game pass conversion deals that are always posted on here. I'm good until 2025 and only paid about $100 instead of $15/month for 3 years. Actual deal may vary but generally it's a lot cheaper than paying monthly.

I waited 2 yrs due to supply issues but now at this point I'd rather not pay full retail. If it was closer to $400-450 or at least came with a game. Renewed my game pass ultimate recently and games are still playable on Xbox one x.
