Can you buy 2 sets of these, and use a 6 node mesh?

Possibly, but that begs the question about how you plan to go about using these? Do you have a 6-7k sq ft house where cheaping out on a proper network setup is the norm? Are you running a shady business that requires "satellite" employees?

6 nodes is very overkill.

I have a total of six of these and have been using them for about six months. They have been flawless for me. I use them to share internet throughout all three floors of my house and over to a separate building/garage about 50 feet from the main house. The only issue I have had is when upgrading the firmware, it sometimes has only upgraded one of the access points at a time… so I have had to run through the process multiple times to get them all. Really like these for the coverage and ease of use.

Tmk TCL is a rebranded offshoot of old RCA. Lower level stuff as I understand. Best of luck! Curious to hear if it's worth a crap honestly.

I picked up this one from Amazon:
Reyee WiFi 6 Router AX3200 Smart Wi-Fi Mesh Router, High Speed Wireless Router with 8 Omnidirectional Antennas, Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Internet Computer Router for Homes up to 3000 Sq. ft. - E5 https://a.co/d/bj3T3WC

Read good reviews about it, especially compared to the Amazon brand mesh net. Curious what you guys think (those that are into these emerging techs!). Not $50, but close enough to compare performance. Thanks.

Never heard of Reyee, would not trust it, but that's me personally.

People think a wireless router is just to deliver internet to their wireless devices. People need to take these devices a lot more seriously than they do, especially as it pertains to security and privacy.

Would this work in separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz mode? What is that called when you can keep them both broadcasting at the same time? I have a bunch of devices that rely on a 2.4 ghz connection. TIA

Thank you! I'm going to the Middle East and I just want to make sure before I buy them.
Make sure the powersupply works for both 110v and 220v. Some countries in ME have 220 and some 110v

Reading reviews on Amazon is the worst way to make purchasing decisions.

This set doesn't look all that bad, but doesn't look all that great. Can't speak to the hardware but knowing TCL I wouldn't expect this hardware to last or keep up with anything demanding.
Do you mean to say that Amazon reviews are not reliable? Then where should one read reviews that are reliable?

Please advise. Thanks.

TCL is a giant in and of itself in the electronics world, and is the world's largest consumer electronics business group. TCL bought and owns many brands, including RCA. It also owns Palm, Blackberry, Alcatel, and others, and of course TCL is the 2nd biggest TV brand in the world in sales. I'm sure many people in the US own a TCL TV. So I don't really know that you can equate them with RCA.

Considering Amazon has a laundry list of companies who buy/pay for reviews, I wouldn't consider it a trusted source for any kind of review. If you want to sift through and find people who seem to be honest, go for it. But relying on it alone to make a purchasing decision? Better off flipping a coin.

Can anyone with this TCL system find out the release date of the latest firmware, and if there is a release note showing all the security issues fixed (like those CVE-2022-xxxxx found on Asus release notes) or just a simple "bugs fixed" (could be just UI or app bugs and nothing with do with vulnerability issues). I just want to get an idea of whether TCL (or probably T_e_n_d_a, since this appears to be a rebadged Nova MW6) still put effort into supporting this device.

Traditional network device companies like Asus and Linksys often post detailed feature list and support info on their website. These rebadging companies and hey-we're-a-hip-startup (like Vilo) hides everything behind the app so it is hard to determine whether it is worth buying. If you look at Vilo's release notes [viloliving.com], they only added bridge mode, static IP, port forwarding, and fixing bugs in DHCP Reservations in recent firmware updates ... basic features that should have been in the initial firmware a year ago.

Your knowledge is wrong… buying a brand name to enter a market doesn't make you an offshoot, Tcl did not originate from RCA
