all in my area says "clearance" and no price. Wondering if I should waste the gas to go check it out?
If the Home Depot app shows it in stock it may be worth the trip to see. It isn't guaranteed however. My HD NEVER puts anything of significance at any decent discount if even marked clearance in the first place. Brickseek often reflects this as well for my store…like this saw for example, no clearance, just regular full price. A couple random times BS has shown clearance, but pretty much as expected, always full price at the store. So in stock and BS showing clearance means there is a chance, but if your store is like mine and doesn't actually clearance much stuff, you'll prob go empty handed.
I saw a whole stack of these saws for 200 (orig 399) at the Covington, WA HomeDepot yesterday. Hand written sign on them. Damn good price if can handle the rear clearance needed for a classic 12 inch sliding saw.
These seem to be an older 12 inch sliding model that is being phased out and replaced by the r4251, which is $529. The r4251 appears to be a rebranded Delta cruzer, and like the cruzer it has no need for the rear clearance of previous gen sliding miter saw. Not needing that rear clearance is huge for me, so I actually just bought that r4521 yesterday. Love it so far. But, if I did have the space, I probably would have gotten this saw here for 200.
Great deal for a dual bevel sliding miter saw. The Atlanta market is showing the saw basically for free when purchased with the rolling stand and diablo blade.

Brick Seek wasn't any help at the time of this posting.
This may be a big time YMMV. This is at the SLC store.
I didn't get one. I picked up a 12" Metabo from Lowes when they had it for $165.
