This is certainly a Chromebook first and tablet second.

FYI I disable the app store on my Chromebooks since it boots much faster without it.
I bought one of these a year ago. Its okay, and $150 seems like a good price. As cool as the keyboard is, I wish I just bought a regular android tablet vs. this thing. It does everything okay, but nothing well. Biggest gripe is not every app in the google play store is available to download.
I've had this since launch and, within its known limitations, it's a great little device even at the original price. At $150, it's a very solid travel device and I can use it for 90% of my work needs when traveling (mostly through Office 365).

The main limitation I have is it won't output 1080p60 via USBC-to-HDMI, so it's not really capable with an external display. The new version was recently released and I'm going to see how it handles external displays.

Thanks for the tip! Will apps still update when the app store is disabled?

My understanding is that the helios p60t processor is similar to the mt8183, which is lesser than the intel celeron n4020 for general browser stuff and maybe slightly better for android app stuff. This is my general understanding from what I read a while ago and not exact so you may want to research more.

I own a lenovo 10e chromebook tablet, which is the ruggedized version of this, with the mt8183 processor. Good for the 100 i paid for it, but a little slower than I would like and sometimes have apps freeze. Wouldnt complain at 100, but would at 150.

I have this and like many said, it doesn't do a great job as a tablet or a desktop device. When you stream Paramount+ or Prime video, it struggles at times and close out. When you get more than about 6 tabs going on Chrome web browser, it's sluggish. They keyboard is often not recognized requiring to re-seat the pins and a reboot occasionally helps (usually quick), but I use it much less compared to my Surface Laptop 3 and Amazon Fire 10 even.

Purchased the same Chromebook from Walmart was $99 few months ago.
but $119 intel CPU Acer 315 15.6" touchscreen Chromebook is a far better deal and practical for daily use https://slickdeals.net/f/15894856

I have 2 of these for my kids which they use 90% of the time in tablet form. I don't get many complaints, so that's good! Netflix works fine and Disney +, which are the 2 most used apps. They use the browser for YouTube. I also got in on the Walmart $100 deal. I'd be OK with paying $150 probably knowing what I know and seeing how it's used.

I got this back in 2020, still using it. The USI pen doesn't come with it, and the keyboard's slightly wonky. Performance is about what you'd expect from a Chromebook with 4 GB memory. Also, while I agree with other comments saying it's a chromebook first, tab second, my experience of using as a tab isn't too bad. Mostly used for taking notes (Squid, onenote, adobe acrobat all worked well) and doing the occasional browsing when I don't want to use my laptop. It's probably a good deal for 149. Also, a couple of more things that I had considered while getting it are 1) It'll get updates longer than most android Tabs, guaranteed till 2028 I think and 2) it's got a builtin Linux installation. While I won't do anything heavy, it's good for quick ssh logins into remote servers, which I sometimes need to do on the go.

I wonder if the lower price is because the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3 (which is basically an enhanced version of this) came out recently.

Got this last month right before a series of work and vacation trips, and it's been amazing for that purpose. The OS is clunky and the memory is terrible, but storage, form factor, and magnetic stand are great for traveling. I wouldn't use this beyond streaming/media apps

I'm debating on fire 10 plus, you think it's better than other tablet s

What this thing does really well is streaming TV channels-- in my case to Chromecast TV. Better than some higher end Windows machines. Plus the power draw is so low that I don't worry about it not being plugged.

Minor negative is the folding stand is cuts into your legs if sitting. And if watching while lying in bed, it is hard to position so that the pins don't disconnect.
