I've had this phone since it was first released and never have I experienced any hardware issues. No overheating and no connectivity issues. Maybe there are others out that have had those, but the reviews I've seen since haven't brought them up.

It's a good flagship phone with an outstanding camera. This is a good price for what you would be getting.

That's not true in general and I'm not sure there are even a significant percentage of people who have these issues. There were reports of this early on but not much since then. It seems like it was either rare or fixed early or more likely both.

Also this phone has feature updates until October 2024 and security updates until October 2026. It could be longer, but that's more than 2 updates

Say what you want about the software/connectivity issues as that can be hit or miss, but theres no denying the fingerprint reader on this phone is trash, theres no review out there sining praises about it. It's slow, real slow for a modern in-screen reader. So keep that in mind before buying this phone.

Is this the phone plagued with all kinds of hardware issues?

Yes, overheating and connectivity issues. It also performs like a mid-range phone and only has 2 major updated left. Google is insane for charging this much. It's simply not the 'best' Android experience.

Hopefully Google matches Samsung support commitment with Pixel 7.

Earlier FW release had overheating/ connectivity issue, which was resolved. This type of issue happens with nearly every phone out there on a FW update. And no, your 2 major updates comment is widely inaccurate. Feature updates to October 2024. Security updates to October 2026. This phone performs as a high end phone, look at the specs and test comparisons to other big players.

I have a Google Pixel 6 pro and my Bluetooth will not connect to my 4runner.. well it will connect and keep dropping randomly. Software update and resetting the device did not fix the issue.. any suggestions?

I've had mine since it was released and had no issues with it. I still think you get a better bang for the buck with their older models. The camera on the Pixels is much better than any other Android or iPhone I've had. I've stuck with mine for its camera.

It's performance is closer to an iPhone 11 by benchmarks. For this price 2024 is just unacceptable for a supposed flagship. Just try to record 2 mins of 4K and it's uncomfortably hot. This is at best it's a $450 phone. Its poor connectivity is well documented too. It'll lose connection at edge of cell regions because of its poor antennae array and Samsung modem. I won't even get started on the dumb fingerprint scanner.

Not going to find a better phone for the price. Mine had issues at the start but they have fixed them all with updates. Most recent update fixed the battery life and I am now getting an additional 2.5 hours SOT. It is now one of the best phones I've ever had, it just took awhile to get here.

What about the finger print sensor?
