I think that's only the newer version. This is the older version with a regular plug.

Is this the one to get, or is it worth waiting for the "Optimal Clean" to go on sale at Costco again? I think those were $70 for a 2-pack a few months back. Is the only difference that the Costco version has high and low settings?

Also, does the Sonicare 4100 automatically shut off after 2 minutes lke the old ones did? I recently switched to the Braun/Oral B Smart Cleanand I don't like it - you have to press the button 3 times to shut it off (it cycles through modes). That and it's a lot more noisy and the brush head doesn't fit in my mouth as well, it feels more bulky.

I've been using oral b, the rotary type, that I need to replace.

Any advantage with this one Over the rotary ?

My problem with the oral b brushes is that the base attracts a lot of mold. Yes yes I know you have to clean it regularly. But does anyone know if these attract less mold at the base than the oral b ones?

Yes, this pauses every 30 seconds so you switch quadrants, then shuts off all together after two minutes.
