Question: Why the negs? You may or may not like Fire Tablets but these are excellent prices.
NOTE: If you sent in a trade in (I got one authorized last week), the additional 20% off is off of the full retail price. In the case of the $75 HD10, you get an additional $30 off (20% of $150) which brings the price down to $45. Less the $30 gift card they gave me for the old one = $15 net for my upgrade. However, you do not have to use the $30 gift card on this purchase. The best stack for me was to pay the full $45 with my Prime Card to take advantage of the 10% cash back promo they are offering select Fire Tablets now.

10 plus matches the lowest but feels like it should be less for aging tech, esp the 8 plus.
I may still pull trigger on the 10 plus - math for a previous gen HD 8 is 105 - 20 (trade in) - 21 (20% trade bonus) = $64. Is there any way to get them to apply trade bonus prior to receiving the trade? Dont seem instant...
I don't recommend the 8 but the 10 at $75 is a steal. Not sure if the 10+ is worth paying almost 50% more tho.
Last year I purchased the 8 and 10. 8 was a disappointment even tho the price I paid was borderline disposable. Perfect for kids but don't do it for personal use unless you're on a really tight budget

I just traded in my old HD 8 for the new gen 32GB HD 8. With the $25 trade-in credit and 20% off coupon it was $6 to upgrade. And $4 of that was the 'Electronic Recycling fee'.
8+ was $54.99 in Feb 2022, and I got two, and saved more trading in some really old 7's then. Was hoping to see that price again now to get a couple more.

I'm the same. Therefore, I am unsure of how the tablet's price will be reduced by 20%. Before they process the trade-in, Amazon will presumably deliver the new tablet.
It's worth noting that these prices are for the versions with lock screen ads. You'll pay more for the ad free versions...may be a deal breaker for some people

Lock Screen ads are very easily removable with 3rd party software. Fire toolbox is your friend.
