Is that really an issue? Can not imagine that happening. Probably has but must be rare.

And if it did - you would get an email thanking your for your order which you usually can just cancel.
And if shipped, free returns.
And, if you have your credit alerts set up, you would also get notified via text or email that a charge had been made on Amazon.

There is no link. You need to use the Amazon Alexa service via an Echo or the Amazon Alexa App on your phone. They you just say "Alexa, order Kasa Smart Plug Mini". You can use your Amazon App or the website to compelte your order.

well I configured alexa app on my android phone and got it to link to my amazon account... did procedure and it said it was adding it to my card for $3.49... told it to order it but checking order detailed it was charing me $10.49 not $3.49 ... damn alexa lied to me... so I canceled order

oh well I only wanted it for the energy monitor only

Be careful if you have the $12.50 prime day credit from getting a $50 gift card. Amazon will use this first and it will cancel the $19.50 promotion and take it back to $10. You will need to contact Amazon after you receive the item for the credit. I'm sure they will handle it but this just became a hassle for me. Check your order history to make sure you got it for 3.49 instead of "free" by using your $12.50 GC.

Same here, trying to figure out how to use the 12.50 promotional credit first. It doesn't show up as a payment option.

Do this: Buy something sold and shipped by Amazon to use the $12.50 promotional credit (doesn't matter what it is just make sure the price is > $12.50). Immediately buy the Kasa Smart Plug for $3.49. Immediately cancel your other order that used the $12.50 credit - you'll get the promo credit back to use on another order.

While I like the plug with energy monitoring, the app leaves a lot to be desired. Like having to press back twice to select another plug and going back and forth between one plug to the next, is a hassle. It would be nice to display multiple plugs on the same screen and see real time usage/data-logging. Now I would need multiple devices to see the plugs in real time.

I did get another one, because it's so cheap.

Telling Alexa to buy this just adds it to your cart - you are then free to checkout using pc, mobile...etc. that's the best way to see if the discount is applying correctly.
