Yes you can use onwall chime for this wireless version. Only the wired version doesn't work with existing chime(see from Eufy site). Also, note the wired version the storage card is in the camera unlike this wireless version. I prefer having my saves in the homebase than the camera if it get stolen.

That's why you buy multiple cameras and have their monitoring zones overlapping. What don't trigger on will set the other off.

I got mixed signals on that but it wasn't necessary for my application so I didn't read much further into it. You can definitely use the battery version as a wired version as it has the terminals on the back. That said the directions say to bridge the chime terminals in setup so I'm not sure how it recognizes to use the original chime. There is an option in the app though to use the original chime so there must be some way, I stand corrected.

I think they meant better deal, not necessarily better product. I got the single cam wireless 2k doorbell with base station. Then ordered two stand alone eufyCam2 pro cams. It was a better deal to order things in that manner with the way they are priced. I have no cameras at the moment so I'm just getting started.
