Okay so should I snag this and another (battery) eufy camera for the back patio or should I just get the Google nest doorbell (battery) for $120 plus another nest camera for the back?

I already have a Eufy floodlight camera so was looking to stay in the same ecosystem. Also a big fan of the second camera on this. Really the dilemma for me was whether to get the battery or wired version, since either way I'm using existing wiring. They both have pros and cons. Since this finally came down to essentially the same price, decided to go with it.
People got ones that were clearly used, didn't appear to have any "renewing" done. And a few hardware issues, again as if nothing had been done. Also some missing some of the accessories needed to run/install it.

Purchased 3 renewed at the $143 price a few days ago but haven't had a chance during the holiday week to install. The reviews had me on edge and was hoping for a deal on "new" and now here we are. The coupon only works once though. This is FP worthy.
These are supposed to be Homebase 3 ready come January 2023, if you believe Eufy.
Wired vs battery quick info:
This has a battery but it can also be powered by an original house chime transformer which is great for those who want to place it today and work on the powered chime transformer project later. You will need a homebase where the wired version does not. The wired version also does a better job of picking up the few seconds prior to incident.

Yeah, the ability to use my existing chime was one reason I wanted this one. The delayed notifications, and lack of 3 second pre-roll were the main reasons I was strongly considering the wired. Really the kicker ended up being the 10VA transformer requirement for this versus 30VA for the wired, and mine is 15VA, with an extremely long run of super thin wire that I worried about the amperage of the wired, so when this price went down it seemed to make the most sense.
I was considering that too! But saw a few bad reviews of the "renewed", so was a bit hesitant.
I bought the refurbished version of the eufy 2K Pro video doorbell (I posted my thoughts here, for more details). Overall I think it was in good condition. I'd rate it 8/10. The outside of the box containing the doorbell was a bit old looking, but the contents of the box were in great shape. No scratches or scuffs on the doorbell; lens looks clean and new. There were no fingerprints or stains on the doorbell body/button either. All accessories were included.
However... the booklet included with the doorbell has a different QR code (needed for setup) than the one printed on the doorbell itself. When setting this up, you need to install the eufy app & then scan the QR code on either the booklet or the back of the doorbell, to add the doorbell to the eufy app. In this case, if I had scanned the QR code from the booklet, some other doorbell would have been added to my app, *not* the doorbell included in my package.
The same thing happened to me when I bought the refurbished eufy 1080P doorbell from Amazon last year. And this year, from Anker. So this seems to be a common issue. I blindly followed the directions last year and was stumped for several minutes, until I compared the QR codes on the booklet & doorbell and saw they were different! What an annoyance. At least this time I knew to watch for it. When Anker/3rd parties refurbish these units, they need to either (a) ensure the proper matching booklet is included, or (b) add an insert indicating folks should scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell during setup.
Anyway, long story short, this refubished unit looks fairly close to brand new. I barely installed it earlier today, but so far it is working well. Anker sold it with a 2-year warranty, so if it lasts at least that long, I'll be happy.
I'm really confused on this battery/wired option. I read in some places that the battery cam can be hardwired, but I also read that you need to buy the wired version to hardwire it.
If I buy the battery version, can I hardwire it? If so, does it extend battery life/"replace" the battery? Will it work with a 10VA transformer, or do I still need to upgrade to the 30VA transformer?

Yes, you can hardwire the battery version, and it only requires a 10VA transformer, which is one reason I decided to go with this so I didn't have to upgrade my transformer. It will still basically run on battery power, but constantly recharge. So I've heard that the battery will likely not last forever...but hopefully long enough till there's something much better to replace it with anyway. This version also lets you keep using your existing chime, whereas the wired version won't use it.
