That's correct. I've been looking for this lately but ended up going with the Pro version which is basically this with continuous recording since eufy motion detection is hit or miss. The refurbished pro version is going for $69 in another post here

This is a great deal for a video doorbell that can store recordings without needing an ongoing subscription.

The "Pro" wired version sold at Best Buy has 32GB internal storage and supports continuous recording.
The standard wired version only has 4GB internal storage and does not support continuous recording.

Both of the wired models have a 3 second pre-buffer feature. The battery version does not have this feature.

The battery version can ring a existing hardwired chime. The wired versions cannot.

Even with internal storage, could this be linked to the homebase and record there?

They say: Internal storage inside your home. Is that SD card gonna be inside the chime or the doorbell?
TIA

I have this 2k doorbell and the indoor pan/tilt (covered outside). I've done everything except send them my issues. False positives no matter what i do. Having settings on the doorbell that won't cause me to rip it off and smash it with a hammer causes missed notifications. I've learned that you can hide your face, walk in, and have it not detect anything at least 50% of the time. Nest was so much better!!!

GOD, i find it so effing annoying that homebase 2 is ONLY compatible with the WIRELESS doorbell and not the wired. there is no technical reason why only one version is compatible. they all use wifi for network connectivity so there should be no technical reason, just stupid business reasons.

trying not to buy more eufy products b/c they have horrible lack of product updates or patches.

For folks interested in continuous recording, the eufy 2K Pro wired video doorbell is something to consider. I bought the refurbished version from Anker/eufy on eBay [ebay.com] last week for $68 (price has unfortunately increased since then; it's now $99.99 as I write this).

I had the eufy 1080P wired video doorbell for about a year and noticed recently the microphone stopped working. I could talk to visitors (speaker on doorbell worked ok) but whatever they said I couldn't hear. The doorbell just went out of warranty and I had been considering another doorbell so got this one. This one comes with a 2-year warranty, so if the doorbell fails in that period I will file a claim for a replacement. I decided to give eufy a 2nd chance because I already have the mount screwed to the wall, and the two doorbells use the same mounting plate; it's trivial to swap the doorbells out.

Thoughts on the 2K pro: The image quality is better than the 1080P version; continuous recording seems to work OK so far (hooked it up a few hours ago) & claims to store 5 solid days of video. I don't have any reason to doubt it at this point. I did notice the recorded content is about 1-2 minutes behind the live view. Perhaps the doorbell needs to buffer content for a bit before writing it to storage.. no idea. I wish it were closer to real-time, but for the price I think it's good enough. I was able to pair the old doorbell chime from the 1080P unit to the 2K pro, so now I have two wirless doorbell chimes (kind of helpful for rooms far from front door which may not hear doorbell ringer).

Time will tell, but so far it feels like a good upgrade, for a bit less than I paid for the 1080P version last year.
