Just FYI I had the same issue. They had a firmware issue around Jan/Feb. They fixed this around May and now this plug stays online and performs very well for me.
Have 2 of these. Sometimes they don't reset after power outage, real pia to have to reboot each one. Not dissing Wyze since I have about 10 of their products and am happy.
I had two of these, and I advise staying far far away. They constantly need to be re-set, deleted from the app, and re-added. I finally gave up and threw both out. I was having to reset them 2-3 times a week. I generally like Wyse stuff, but their smartplugs are garbage in my experience

I think a lot of smart product like these do that. The majority of my Google Speakers do the same, also a big PIA.

I bought one earlier this year and not happy. Constantly is disconnected and doesn't seem to process on a schedule.
I have other Wyze stuff but this is disappointing.

FYI the Kasa (TP Link) plugs can be found in 4 packs for around $25 sometimes. I've rarely had any issues with them, and I'm running anywhere from 8 to 16 depending on season. I've had them for probably 5+ years at this point.
Just throwing in my two sense. I have about 20 wyze products. Cameras, Plugs, Vacuums. These i have had the LEAST amount of issues with. My TP link that sits directly next to it disconnects more then these. But both rarely disconnect. No issue after a power outage either. Only time i need to reset is when i change router settings. So, for those of you losing connection make sure your router is not adjusting after power lose.
All in all for the price wyze is great. All smart home devices have issues you will run into. So just go with the eco system you know.

Wyze is a great product and I have Wyze plugs. But WiFi plugs slows down your internet connection as they have to travel on the internet to gives commands to your Wyze network. Try using zwave or zigbee as they work in your local network and don't use your internet connection. If you lost internet wifi plugs will not work.
