True, but if you were in the market for a video card right now, and didn't want to wait, it's worth it to buy TT for the year just to save this $250. You'll come out $50 ahead and you get a year of TT too.
Then you won't use any of the "benefits" and you'll come out $200 behind LMAO!
"If you cancel within the first 60 days of the initial purchase, or any renewal term, you will be entitled to receive a refund for the full value of the amount paid for your yearly membership minus the value of any membership discounts, services or benefits already provided during the then-current term. "
basically you will be refunded the TT but will be charged the GPU discount. So you'll be buying this at the non-discounted price of 700.
Akshually...
Looks like it would be $200 + $450 - $0 = $650.
You get the membership, you buy the GPU, you cancel the membership, they give you $200 - $200 = $0. The money is taken out of the membership fee. Not some retroactive charge.
So anyone buying this should consider it $650 for the GPU plus a year of TT membership.
Guessing you'd also save money on being taxed on the $450 instead of the full $650-700.

TT is supposed to be bestbuy response to amazon prime and walmart+? what a joke bb is.
Its actually not half bad if you use it the way they intend, I got mine for around $50 since they were offering 10% off open box items with TT at my bestbuy and I needed a fridge for my new house so I went ahead and signed up.
Ive used it to get 2 TV's wall mounted for free so far, including a 65 inch LG G1 OLED and soundbar, so not exactly the easiest stuff to handle/deal with. Then everything is covered under geeksquad warranty, so you just call them if something goes wrong.
I dunno, I guess it all depends on your needs and how much you can get it for, for $50 it was a no brainer for me. Personally I would have never bought it if I had not bought a new home and needed a bunch of appliances and such. $200 is hefty though, I think they'll need to come down to $99 to really attract folks.

Exactly. How often you need big ticket electronic items. I understand if you get a new home or move or have major renovations but as a ongoing fee doesn't make sense.
Totaltech is such a joke. My store is very close to a BestBuy...40% of my service comes from that store...they can't fix anything except reloads...all laptops get shipped to Kentucky if requires disassembly. I love their ineptness.
i happen to have total tech (because I just bought the LG G1 65 which was 100 off for totaltech members and got two large TVs hauled away for free (normally 40 each), otherwise yeah it's not a good deal). I'm also in the market for a cheap-ish video card and was looking at the 3060s, but this deal looks pretty good too? How good is this deal compared to anything around the 300-450 price range? Obviously 3070 TI is gonna be better but is it worth it? Basically will there be better deals in the coming few days or from amazon or should i just jump on this and call it a day? thx!

If you already have TT, I would jump on it. I have not seen a 3070 TI lower than 650.

Love to Tuf card, I got the 3070 for $633 from Amazon and it's really quiet.
