I gather you mean 200°F... I have this machine but have only used the single-serve side. It makes good coffee but it doesn't come out hot enough, especially if you want to add milk or creamer. Definitely not 200; probably not even 185.
Can't comment on the carafe side though...
Didn't think I'd use the single-serve so much but it's been such a godsend. I usually brew a pot of caffeinated, and then a single serve of decaf for after 6pm or so. I get about 12oz on the single-serve side so more than enough for the eve. Prior to this I'd been forced to drink some bad instant decaf because I didnt want to hassle with brewing some (and cleanup) each night just for a serving.
It comes out quite hot for me on the single-serve side. Slight issue is that sonce I brew on "Bold" each time it comes out a little more slowly such that by the time it has all dripped out it has had a chance to cool a little. If I happen to do something while brewing a single-serve and don't cover it up right away it can be "too cool" by the time I get to it. But that's more my fault, IMO. I brew straight into a 20oz Yeti insultated.
No spitting and no rust for me. Not yet at least.
