*EDIT* I received a cancellation email from Samsung for the sound bar. I'm not sure what happened and am currently following up with Best Buy on this. Please do not follow these instructions until I'm able to clear this up. Your best bet is to try and return in store so you know if they will allow you to do so or not
i requested the previous chat log (when i requested they cancel just the tv) be emailed to me at the end of the session but I haven't received it yet. but hopefully they can look at that and see that they goofed and offer to price match, but at this point i'm not counting on it.
bummer! i was already looking up reviews on the soundbar and getting excited for it. just goes to show you that it's not yours until it's in your possession. hopefully someone learns from my experience. i'll keep updating as this saga plays out
thanks for your condolences!

First impressions of the Q950A (compared to Q800A with 2 rear speakers)
- The cover on the soundbar is cloth (ugh!)… I'm going to have to wipe and clean this weekly (have a cat)
- The screen is on top of the unit and it's tiny. I didn't look at any pictures or reviews before, so this surprised me, especially since all the other Samsung soundbars I've used had the screen on the front of the unit. There are little LED lights on the front that come on shortly (e.g., green ON, red OFF, blinking 3 white LEDs, sound up or down"), but their function is really cryptic.
- Having trouble adding it to the SmartThings app. I set it up a Q800B yesterday in the bedroom and it popped up as soon as I fired up the app. In the case of Q950A, I've done multiple searches, etc etc and can't find the damn thing. I'll have to check some online sources
- On top of the unit (towards the back and right), there's a "depression" in the size of a pea. The box wasn't damaged, etc., so I'm guessing this was done at the factory during packaging. It's not visible or noticeable, but just annoying.
- Haven't had the time to check the sound settings and performance yet, but the a quick test of the Atmos content was great. I can't tell if "better than Q800A with satellites" good, but we shall see.
