If you have an acre to cut and you buy this and complain, it's your own fault. For sane, rational people who understand this is for relatively small yards it's a pretty solid deal.
So I guess you can just order two mowers, and then have an "emergency-backup mower"?

My mower came with two batteries. All of the 40v mowers have way less voltage/power?, but people love them supposedly.
How many batteries do you need for a normal yard?
Are they just more efficient? Cut better on less juice?
Seriously asking.
I, like you, kinda assume that Li-ion mowers must be more or less a toy, or if they work, they'll poop out in 20 min. since that's what my $200 leaf blower does.
But the possibly similar Ryobi I "liberated" from my brother is actually quite awesome compared to my 8 yr old 4.5HP Honda-powered gas mower. This electric mower actually cuts the grass in one pass - I needed to overlap with two passes with my gas mower even with a new blade. It is about half the weight which is nice when pushing in July. I can walk at a good pace and it still cuts great. You can change height in 5 seconds.
I live on .28 acre in more/less "typical" suburban lot. My bro has two 6-Ah batteries which is a bit of overkill, you'd need about one and a half for my sq footage (I use about 75% of a battery on both front and back on a 3-week growth)
So I was thinking these were a frustrating fad but I am now a convert. If this is actually a clone of the similar Ryobi, or you can steal one from a loved one, I highly recommend !

Just mentioned a comparable gas powered model (Toro) I just bought is listed at 59lb, whereas this model is listed at 52, but I don't know if that includes the batteries. IF it dosn't, I'd say the 2 setups are very comparable in weight, and even if that 52 lbs includes the battery (since it only has 1 but the unit can take 2), 7 lb isn't a lot.

Real question is how much can you mow on a battery? How long does it take to charge said battery? How much would an extra battery cost?
