FYI for anyone who has a current wells fargo credit card - for most of their older cards you can do a product change over to this card instead. I just did this so I can move away from my old 1% cash back card to upgrade to this. You don't get the sign up bonus but all of your credit limit, age of account and all transfers over with it.

Here's my plan. My local utilities allow extra payment. 500 to electricity, 500 to water, 500 to etc and set up the CC to pay monthly to finish before APR is up and free 300 dollars
in fact i've got medical bills anyway

There's nothing wrong with having more than one credit card from WF especially without an annual fee. It's worth the sign up bonus to have multiples.
One thing that is not clear is will doordash/grubhub takeouts/deliveries count for dining. On the phone the customer care rep said yes & with confirming it aswell, but the T&C on the card seems to exclude "third-party delivery service". If the former is true then what is "third-party delivery service" that is referred in the T@C?
There's a few that do a soft pull and when you agree to getting the card they do a hard pull. Apple Card is probably the biggest example of this
Oh i got it, but (the OPs point) its true that a hard pull does happen if one has to get the card & there is no way to get around it. I know what you are referring to many banks do that aswell for its account holders (credit or checking/savings) where they 'pre-approve' and let you know so you know there is a negligible chance of the eventual hard pull not resulting in the card issuance. I think going forward that will become more & more common specially with everyone mining our data from various sources (data brokers, sharing financial info with one another, apps based scraping, etc)
Think I might get this just for phones since I have 5 lines on my plan. 3% cashback on phone plan will add up, and I'll save literally hundreds per year on Apple Care. The $600 phone insurance should cover any repair, or worst case buy a new mid-tier phone as a replacement.
3% Dining and Travel not too shabby either
WF not my favorite, but they already bought my car loan, so I'm stuck with them anyway

Thank you. I have a platinum card that I haven't used for years because I have cards with better % offers. I can change cards to something better and keep my member since 1990.
