FYI for anyone who has a current wells fargo credit card - for most of their older cards you can do a product change over to this card instead. I just did this so I can move away from my old 1% cash back card to upgrade to this. You don't get the sign up bonus but all of your credit limit, age of account and all transfers over with it.

Here's my plan. My local utilities allow extra payment. 500 to electricity, 500 to water, 500 to etc and set up the CC to pay monthly to finish before APR is up and free 300 dollars

in fact i've got medical bills anyway

Will the payment of home or auto insurance using this card be oky to get the 30,000 bonus point? I guess so at least looking at their T&C. But just checking here with the experts for confirmation.

After 2 months since opening, just saw no where it states 3% bonus on those categories mentioned. All that is active is the 1% on all purchases. 🤔

You can use it immediately by adding it to a digital wallet or paypal. You can do it in the WF online account. I've.done it when I booked my international flight that offers paypal payment

Nah, I tried this, it didnt work. I had to wait until the card was activated.

There have been weird denials that make no sense, call in and complain, they will send you to the executive line where an agent will make a case. Then someone from the executive dept will call you, and you can then explain why you think the denial is BS. Then they will write up another case if they agree and someone will look it over. 6 days later I get an email that I was approved and they called me to tell me there was some error with my app and I should not have been denied. The denial reason was some BS like "too many cards with balances", but it was just like 3-4 cards with amounts from $3-$50 on them, I dont carry CC debt, thats just how the reporting cycle goes for those cards, they reported a balance to the CB's before I could pay them all off. I cant babysit all my cards to make sure they all report $0 monthly lol....

If you already have a WF online account, you should have the option to add the card to a digital wallet like paypal or google pay. I was able to add mine to paypal even without the physical card yet. I was able to purchase a plane ticket using paypal with this.

Edit: I got the approval and instantly was able to add the card to ApplePay. Unfortunately, I want to make a purchase on Costco.com while they have a special offer that expires tomorrow, but the site doesn't use ApplePay (the only "wallet" is Visa Click-to-Pay which requires the physical card to enter the info). Rats.

I was looking for my reward, and noticed that on their reward activity - it hits the account very soon afer the $1500 spend - but it says "pending " and use date is about a month later. I'm guessing actually becomes available maybe after month's end. But at least i can see in my account - it is already, just cant use it until few weeks later.
